Why does coffee give me migraines?

I've noticed if I drink coffee (especially before or during my period) it causes me to have a really stubborn headache. Why?

I think there's a lot of caffeine in coffee. Try drinking decaf for a while and see what happens. There are other things that can trigger them. Chocolate, and ( I think ) cheese.

It's the caffeine, it can trigger migraines in some people. Look caffeine migraines.

Do you get enough water. Coffee dehydrates you and if you don't drink enough water this can potentially cause headaches.

I don't know actually lol. Coffee is just weird I guess. It's like how you hear coffee gives some people the runs (like it makes em poop) but I've never heard of that happening with tea.
