What makes a person want to do nothing but go to work and come back home and sit on the couch all the time, having no social life?

humm...
* health - We'll I had a hole in my heart, so I was exhausted all the time after work. Didn't know why until went to heart Dr. and he said... you are having surgery next month. That cleared up my energy issues!
* exhausted from work and thats how he "blanks out" to recharge
* that's who he has always been.. its how he relaxes from a hard day
* relationship is emotionally straining, so how he escapes

I can't stand this though, would drive me nuts. I don't want a couch potato girl at all... dont' even watch TV!

There are several reasons anything from depression to social anxiety, or it is just that they feel like relaxing after work. there are so many reason that I can not list every possible reason because everyone is unique.
It also could be as simple as you maturing and you no longer have the need to find a party anytime you have some free time

online school, sex, cooking, cleaning, tired of partying wants to settle down, video games, movies, family, friends who come over and drink wine lol Introverted, shy tired from a long day of work.

Maybe it's hard on the wallet, maybe they just aren't into the type of town/city they are surrounded by. Sometimes people who are loners end up being that way because nobody is into what they are into. I hate pop culture, thus female friend I hang out with loves it, to a point. She likes a lot of theusic, though not all, and its hard for me to relate to her
