I was watching a tv show where someone well-educated was crying saying oh I left my job etc. and I mean while I feel for this person because it's hard leaving a job... is that really something to cry about?
Why not get another one? Is it really that hard to get another job when you're already well-educated?
The reason I ask this is because I definitely lack confidence and sometimes also think in this black and white mentality of it's either that or nothing. But sometimes when you see others going the extreme route with it, it makes you wonder if there's any truth towards the self-criticisms you inflict upon yourself.

Its normal to be very emotional about it, dont see anything black and white
if you were fired obviously its very unpleasant, if you left for another job or just cause of some other reasons than of cousre its emotinal to leave all that life behind and people in it, its a drastic life change basically
About your mentioned "black and white thinking" that is mental distortion and its definitely bad. But plenty of people are guilty of it. Rarely anything is black and white, eg. your brake up with someone and think ill never love again but that is 100% not true
Hmm but I don't thik it's either of those things, it's almost like thse people believe theyw ill never get another job.
Which doens't make any sense they're wlel-educated why wouldn't they.
It depends on what kind of job they want and how fluid is the jobs market, and if u get fired it might be harder to find a job cause new employer might hold that as a red flag, also its just generally hard to go trough hassle of looking for the new jobs, preparing for tests and doing interviews n getting rejected...
They were likely already depressed before they left their job.
This. This is the only thing that provides a good explanation.
Thanks.
