I can see things that are close to me, but not so much with things that are further away.
-1.00 and -0.75, is that bad?
Will my eyes get better eventually?

Trending & News Well, your eyes aren't going to get better, but your prescription isn't bad.
Mine was -7.5 and -7.75. Anything that wasn't 3mm in front of my fact was out of focus, and I could not even tell the gender of the person standing a few steps away from me.
Luckily with technology, I got laser eye in my mid-20's and now I see perfectly.
Wow! Thanks. If mine get worse within time I'm considering having laser eye treatment too. How was your experience? Isn't it scary?
Laser eye surgery was surprisingly simple. But most optometrist will not let you get it done until your mid-20's. Your eyesight still changes up to that age (usually getting worse, not better). So if you get it done at 18 years, you may need to get it done again in the future if your eyes continue to get worse.
Procedure was simple. Wear glassess for 1 week before the surgery. No contacts, because it changes the natural shape of your eye.
There's no preparation. You just walk in, and take a drowsy pill and lie down. The machine will do all the measurements. I basically laid down, the machine took measurements for 2 minutes and then the laser started. The laser blasted each eye for 10 seconds (painless) and then it was over. I had immediate 20/20 vision, it was incredible. Much better vision that with my contacts or glasses.
But my crystal clear vision only lasts a day. After this, your eyes sense the damage that the laser did to your cornea, and so a new layer of cells will grow over your eyeballs to heal the damage. The cells are not fully developed so you're basically looking through a thin layer of cells which are cloudy, making your vision fuzzy for 1-2 weeks. You also need to put hormone drops in your eyeballs every hour for the week so it gets all gunky and sticky.
However, after that, I've had no vision problems. Definitely worth it.
Wow!! That's not as scary as I thought it would be and definitely worth it. I guess I'll wait some years and see if I'll need it then. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I have exactly the same eyesight. It's not too bad, you could easily get by without glasses, but they'd certainly make long distance reading a lot easier.
How often do you wear your glasses?
alright, so you don't wear it like all the time? It's not that necessary...
okay i seeeee, thankss

I've worn glasses since I was 3. I'm pretty much blind without my glasses. I actually would never want to have good eyesight. I love wearing glasses. I love how I look in them and how they feel. I wear my glasses all the time even when I'm sleeping swimming or taking a shower. I can't stand to be without my glasses for even a second. Men always tell me how hot my glasses look on me.
I'm a very beautiful white girl with natural platinum blonde hair and very bright very light blue eyes and men always tell me I'm the most beautiful girl they've ever seen. So obviously if glasses ruined looks I would have a lot to lose. Men absolutely love girls with glasses and men always tell me how much my glasses enhance my beauty and make me even more beautiful and hotter. Men tell me I'm the most beautiful girl they've ever seen and that my glasses make me even hotter
Of course it also helps that my glasses are very super bright pink just like everything I wear and own. I'm glad my eyesight is bad. I certainly would never want to not wear glasses. I would never ever wear contacts or get lasik. So I consider having bad eyesight a blessing. Since if I had good eyesight I wouldn't get to wear glasses. I've known girls that faked having bad eyesight so they could wear glasses because men love glasses on girls so much.
I have known some girls who were reluctant to wear glasses because they were afraid it'd ruin their looks and that men wouldn't like them. However once they met me and how beautiful I am ( like I said I always get told I'm the most beautiful girl in the world) and that I loved wearing glasses and that men thought my glasses made me look even hotter they started wearing their glasses and sure enough men all told them their glasses made them hotter.
Im not sure, where i am at they rate it a 20/20 being the best, while my eyes are more like 20/700 20 out of 700, which means without my glasses i am legally blind, even with my glasses im 20/80 which is still bad
No, eyesight is autonomic immune disorder, it will only get worse with time.
correct me if i'm wrong - but what has eyesight got to do with disorders and immunity? For it to be an autonomic immune disorder?
Well, I will make it short.
During the fetus development Lymphocytes and other WBC's are given some sort of code by which they can identify body cell, they have record of every cell in the body. The eye cells (cones) and testis cells are absent in the record. Thats why nature have provided us with blood testis barrier and eyes are not in direct contact with blood. If the barrier breaks lymphocytes (that have no record of eye cells) recognize the eyes as antigen (germs) and start the severe immune response against them. They destroy eye cells (cones, rods) that weakens the eyesight. Macrophages does the rest of job. That's why it is known as autonomic immune disorder.
Oooh that makes sense! So they're not recognised as 'self' - they don't have the representing 'self' receptors. Alright learnt something new today thanks haha.
No. I'm somewhere in the 5s and my mom is in the 7s. I'd punch a baby seal in the face for your eyesight.
For reference without glasses I can't see the face of the person sitting next to me. If I hold my phone in one hand and stick out my thumb towards my face then make a fist with the other and touch one end of that fist to my nose and the other to the thumb. That is the furthest I can move my phone away without it looking blurry any thing beyond that is s mess of colors.
wow, i really feel for you. Im sorry to hear that, i'm sad about my own eyesight..
It's really not that bad. I wear contacts almost constantly. So I bump into stuff at night when I go to the bathroom and I have to call for a ride if I lose a contact while out somewhere but other than that it's barely ever a real problem.
That's good then :)
No my contacts are -1.5
I don't think they're ever going to get better.
That's great :(
Laser eye treatment it is then lol
