Does anyone take antidepressants and does it work?

I'm going to be revisiting the doctor soon to start getting some medication to help with my depression + anxiety and was wondering if any of the drugs actually work? Thanks.

I don't but I have a friend who does and they make her feel lots better; the main thing is she has more energy to be able to do things.

Some people have to try various things before they find something that works for them though so if you don't have success the first time don't be immediately discouraged, something else could still help <3

I do but not for depression I know sounds stupid lol... But I would say no considering in depressed an awful lot.

i have and no they dont work, probably cause my depression and anxiety is caused by life in general, not a chemical imbalance in the brain.

yeah they work but their side effects are very uncontrollable

Antis can be very finicky and you may have to try a few before you find one that works. That being said, I am on them, and once my doctor and I played around with some until we found the right combo I feel way better.

yes they work but you may need to change brands and dosages for a while to find what works for you so talk to your doctor and together you will find the right mix for you
