What's the best way to fix a pulled muscle?

Use these together:
1) Deep heat max strength plus heat gel
2) Anadin Ultra Back and Muscle pain liquid capsules
I've pulled my neck and shoulder muscles several times 😓
I'm sensitive to stress, and my trapezius muscle (large muscle in the neck, shoulder and back) was spasming and tensed - the entire area hurt so bad that I went a&e and I couldn't turn my neck either.
The above combination healed me in 3 days and I could feel relief straightaway.
For a pulled muscle ice isn't the thing. Heat is what you need. Something like a hot water bottle - it can mould around your body and gently heats the muscle and relaxes the muscle.
The only other thing is rest. I'm always pulling muscles in my back, just try not to use the muscle and if you need to, sleep through it.
I iced it due to what I first found on google saying to ice it.
Yeah... Some people say ice it to reduce the swelling which can releave pressure. But some say heat it up so the muscle doesn't tense, it relaxes. You didn't do anything wrong - with pulled muscles you never know the full damage so cooling it will take swelling and possible pain away. But if cooling doesn't work, always try gentle heat.
It won't be an instant cure - you will get some relief for the first few minutes and as the hot water cools you will have discomfort again. Just keep going with it, and if you can when you go to sleep, sleep with it under you. It will help you fall asleep
Okay I'll give that a try then. :)
I figured out the muscle that I actually pulled is my chest muscle. So I can push things but I can't pull, which is how I repulled it the day before yesterday. I was getting up out of bed and it just went out and hurt greatly. Which trying to doing things I have to do everyday is pretty painful. So I've tired creative ways to get around that.
So still icing and heating it.
Is it sad I know that gif from Naruto lmao. Just started to get into anime 😅
Rest and Ice or Heat. Whatever works for you. Some light stretching nay help.
Not sad at all. :)
You'll never make it to Hokage at this rate ;)
Phooey. :'(

ouch, how did you throw that uppercut?
My shoulder has already been messed up since December and then a couple of days ago I did a kickboxing video. Then I ended up extremely sore, so maybe that area was still tired from it.
yeah all those things prior to the uppercut would have contributed to pulling a muscle.
when you threw it, did you just shoot your arm up or did you keep half your arm attached to your body and turn with your hips as you punched?
I moved my body and didn't have my arm moving too much. I think even with the little of my shoulder moving still causes that. I'm doing that motion right now but not as much and I can feel the pain. I'm trying that now and it's not really hurting.
ah okay. yeah the muscle was probably just fatigued beforehand and you used it a little too much and bam.
What little pain I did feel is along a line from my chest and down a little more to the left side of the shoulder.
hmm I'm not quite sure. I never hurt my shoulders throwing punches, they just get really sore. only time I got hurt were my wrists from throwing hard punches too quickly. but yeah you'll recover, just take a short break from the kickboxing for now or just kick until it feels better.
Mines probably due to the muscle being puny in the first place. XD
they will adapt and grow! if you continue :D
A mix of cyrotherapy and heat treatment meaning like a hot shower and then ice pack or bag of ice on the afflicted area make sure to make that ice cold enough though. Or a mix of hot and cold in the shower, that's about all I can tell you.
You can try Epsom salt baths, but really the only thing that will make it heal is time. But you have to take it easy from now on to avoid aggravating the injury.
Heat pad or hot water bottle, ibuprofen (Advil), and resting that muscle for a couple of days will help.
I wouldn't do too much with it, rest a lot probably ice it, on fo 10-15 minutes, off for 5 minutes, especially immediately after you pull it.
Last time I had a pulled muscle I just had my mom rub it after putting some icy-hot on it.
right well since you iced it get some good rest putting little strain on it
after you got some rest do some light active recoverey excersices and strech it and use a foam roller to :)
I think you can only rest and put some ice really
get well better soon ^^
Rub it, stretch it softly and slowly, apply hot water or ice.
Pull another one so that the already pulled one doesn't get all the attention.
Heat, stretch, lots of water
Ice first
heat after
Heating pad and a nice cold shower
I find a hot bath helps
Rest it
Rest and Ice
Infrared light
