Question about the gym?

Ok so I just came back from my first ever day. I worked out my chest and triceps with my friend.

Honestly I'm so disappointed in myself

I was doing fine in my opinion until the bench press. I tried 50 pounds and I realized it was too heavy after I lifted it 5 times. Then I switched to 40 and struggled really badly but I completed my reps.

After that I felt like such a loser, 40 pounds...

At the end I did pushups and my arms were so tired that I could only manage 15-20 before I collapsed.

Is it normal to feel like such a loser?
