Did anyone lose weight becoming a vegetarian?
if you have any other diet recommendations lemme know 😊
I am neither a vegetarian nor a vegan. I eat meat. I just don't eat meat as much as I used to, because meat really does not satiate me. So, I load up on vegetables.
I often find myself eating 1 cup of white rice, a bowl full of vegetables, and a few meat pieces on top. I use water to wash down my meal. I believe a well-balanced diet must include meat; veganism for Homo sapiens is impossible without supplements, which I refuse to use. I stick to whole food ingredients as much as possible. Being of Chinese descent, I eat a lot of tofu and soy products, which in the West, are interpreted as "vegetarianism".
The key to losing weight is to cut out processed foods in your diet.
One of my good friends started being vegetarian and wanted to lose weight aswell but she's pretty much the same so far! (5 months or so)
I don't think that meat makes you fat, if anything it helps build muscle mass which increases your metabolism and help lose fat if you don't eat a lot of carbs and exercise. :)
I agree with that. that's what has been holding me back
When i was younger I used to be very chubby and lost a lot of weight with a low calorie diet, I also want to lose weight atm but since my BMI it's harder and low calorie diet doesn't seem to work at this point so I'm going to start a low carb diet in a few days to get skinnier ^^
From what I see you already look good healthy and fit but if you still want to lose a bit I guess low carb could help from the research I've done :)
*since my BMI is normal now ***
Yeah I just keep gaining and I don't know why so I wana nip it in the bud before it's too late lol
I read an article going lean protein and vegetables can aid in losing fat. Of course, the question is what are you putting on the veggies? A bunch of ranch dressing is not going to make it healthy while olive oil or a bit of vinegar or just some spices can. Combine that with some body weight exercises or HIIT routine, you're bound to tone up.
I never put anything on veggies. I eat super healthy. But I'm still gaining weight so I don't really understand it. That's why I'm guna start experimenting
You must be eating too many calories, gaining muscle or you may have an disorder.
Lmaooo
> Eating less than 1k cals in day
> Going vegan
Are u kidding me? you're like 100 pounds and if you wanna loose weight, at least do it right. Eating less than 1k cals gonna loose u all ur little left muscles and get u to just be skinny as hell like those malnourished kids from africa
Lmao... You always break in with those sentimental comments... And I'm gaining weight. I want to stop so I'm trying to figure a diet now that I don't have softball to keep my metabolism high
Stop u idiot, U only doing worse if u gaining weight. It means your bod going in starvation mode and storing little fat it can get, stop screwing ur diet. Carb up and cals upto 1800-2000 cals for week and then shock it by going down to 1600-1800 next week and then maybe increase 100-200 cals when u need but nothing under 1400 cals
How do you know anything about what a woman's diet should be if she's trying to lose weight tho? Lol
This dudes advice makes sense trust me. It works your going about this diet the wrong way. 🙅🏼

I have been to India, where the majority of the population are vegetarians. There are an awful lot of women over a certain age who are atrociously fat.
Hahah okay thanks
I went raw vegan with juicing for a whole month and I didn't lose weight.
I think you need exercise too if thats what you want. Of course going vegan or vegeterian would be healthier for your body.
I've heard the opposite actually. People have gained weight from becoming vegetarian. Sweets are still on the table and I think people think hey since I'm not eating meat now I'll have a candy bar or some shit like that. Just like anything. If you do it right it will work.
Vegan diets are often healthier and lower in calories so yes, a lot of people do lose weigh by becoming vegan/vegetarian.
Of course having a diet consisting of white bread, pasta, rice and potato chips is an example of a non-animal based diet that would make you gain weight instead though..
If you go healthy vegetarian you would lose weight but if you just cut meat out of your diet, and are still eating junk foods And drinking sugary drinkd then not much will happen. Just ensure you take iron supplements or eat a crap tonne of broccoli.
Sure, people have lost weight going vegan...
But then again people have lost weight eating exclusively twinkies, pizza, and other junk food.
Control yourself and don't overeat.
I eat less than 1000 calories per day
I've heard of a couple of people I know losing weight that way. It depends how much meat you eat I think. If you eat meat a lot and most of your calories comes from meat then chances are becoming a vegetarian will probably help. Since a lot of fast food is meat becoming a vegetarian will probably help with that too. It's hard, though. I went vegetarian for awhile but I was so hungry haha. Also make sure you find a way to get protein, I suggest beans or nuts.
general its not a good diet plan.. that being said you also experience thinning hair due to lack of protein your hair will also become frail from this.
When I became vegan for the first time I lost around 10 lbs, but that's because I didn't know how to eat correctly as a vegan. Don't become vegetarian too lose weight. Become vegetarian to protect animals against animal farms/factories.
I didn't become one but I did cut out all red meat and ended up losing 10 lbs very quickly. That's a lot of weight for me, I ended up weighing 100 lbs after I cut those things out
I already don't eat red meat... But thanks how tall are you?
Im5'6
Yeah but that's only because I had nothing to eat since my family apparently cooks meat exclusively. That shit didn't last 😂
I lost the weight on my shoulders to cook dinner carrot sticks and celery again.
Of course I'm a vegetarian not a vegan I'm my mind is very sharp and I do not get sick as oppose to someone who is not on such diet. It's a very healthy lifesytle
Yes you will lose weight
Reducing your sugar and carb intake.
No, I didn't.
You didn't go on the diet? Or you didn't lose weight going on the diet?
Just restrict your calories.
I already eat less than 1000
except from the looks of it, u dont need to
Fuck that.
