+1 yYes 155lbs. Atkins Keto life style and combined with pre and post Bariatric Surgery Diet.(I did not have surgery)
NOW NO MATTER WHAT THE THE BARIATRIC DIET SAYS DO NOT AND I MEAN NEVER COMBINE A LOW FAT DIET WITH KETO.
IT WILL DESTROY YOUR GALLBLADDER.
With an atkins or keto diet you MUST have healthy fats so your body can regulate its on blood sugar and it also maintains your gallbladders function. And on a keto or atkins diet you SHOULD try to avoid product which say fat free or reduced fat they are actually higher in sugar or carbs. Now when I added the bariatric surgery diets I took a MULTIVITAMIN and I substituted any high carb starchy food for low carbed foods and higher protein. I did this with a friend who had a bariatric surgery done. I DID NOT GET THE SURGERY. She followed typical surgery diet of low fat and starchy diet and used my modified surgery diet of healthy fat low card. I LOST WEIGHT FASTER THAN SHE with my stomach intacted unlike her who had a good portion removed. She had to have her gallbladder removed and I DID NOT.
However a bariatric diet is not for the faint of heart. You would have to be motivated determined and strong-willed it was not an easy process to do without a surgery. I can't sugar coat it the beginning I say the first four to six weeks were absolute hell.
But it isn't necessary to go to those extremes if you are only trying to lose something like 20 lb or even 40 in that case all you need is an Atkins or keto lifestyle and remember healthy fats.12 Reply- +1 y

+1 yAt 21 I lost 10 pounds with 4 days of fasting and kept it off for 1 year and I also lost 30 pounds in one month on a low carb diet and was eating at sushi buffets twice a week while doing it - just avoided rice and lost weigh. I continued the trend of losing 36 pounds every year on keto until age 32 when my body became resistant to keto diets. Now I’m doing another diet I invented myself - lost 14 pounds - then gained back 4 pounds by inducing experimental changes in my overall plan - and began losing weight again once I gave up my little mini experiment during the weight loss process. I spent almost 5 years watching videos and studying weight loss online only to lose weight through an experiment I invented myself that I conceptualized 100% independent of all medical research.

When I hit puberty I also started playing video games and eating junk food a lot. shot up to 230 lb fast. So I was fat for about 1-1.5 years in my teens.
Joined basketball team at 15 and lost 50 lb in a single highschool basketball season. Maintains that weight loss for years and consistently worked out. Put on some muscle
Got into a relationship at about 22 or 23, blimped up without realizing because I was still Training. I was 240 lb but had muscle. Then in 1 -1.5 years I cut down to 183-185 just ripped.
Haven't gotten far away from that in 5 years because I got my nutrition in check. I used to never track my nutrition, now I do. So I've lost weight in two ways
1. Absurd output and hardwork
2. Watching what I eat and workout 2-3 days a week
The second way was much much better lol. If I had the understanding of nutrition that I do now back when I was in high school I would have been ripped my entire life and much stronger lol.
Recently started fitness training so help other people do it now. Not that difficult. Just a matter of changing some habits.00 Reply
Yes a lot of weight because i had too if i didn't i probably would be in the cemetery by know. I was barely 23 years old when i started having shortness of breath for weeks. At first i thought it was asthma but eventually i started having chest pains and drove myself to the emergency room. They found i had a blood clot on my lung and spend 3 days in the hospital and discharged with blood thinning medication. Doctors believe the blood clot was caused by being obese and sitting around a lot. I was 285 pounds at that time know im down to 190 pounds. I could have died if you are overweight then take care of yourself and lose weight you don't want to end up like me. Thankfully, the clot has dissolved but i still get out of breath more easily then before the clot and still get some chest pains from time to time. I know suffer from complications because i chose to be obese and not take care of myself. But i learned my lesson that life is very precious and take care of it while you still have it!.

+1 yNot in a short time, but I've lost over 70 pounds (and still going!) I would still like to lose another 12-15 pounds before I'm somewhat content. But I am a healthy weight now, wearing small and medium sizes, and very active fitness wise!
It look me roughly 5-6 years to accomplish this however. I lost my weight by working out of course (walking, running, weight training), and of course, watching my food intake. No fad diets, just eating less and cutting out unnecessary junk as need be- probably why it took longer to lose the weight, but as I've been told, I have a better chance of maintaining my weight loss by doing it the right way.10 Reply 678 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. In 1989 I lost 50 lbs in 5 months by going on Weight Watchers, walking and exercising.
I had gained the weight over a period of 6 years because my new job had caused a drastic change in lifestyle. Before then, I had been super fit and active. But the job made me sedentary and I was being taken to really nice restaurants every day for lunch. I discovered good food and wasn't used to my new life. I didn't like myself because I had to cut my long hair and start wearing a suit instead of surfing, partying and being a rock musician. I didn't even recognize myself, but I was making really good money. I didn't even have a girlfriend for 5 years because I didn't want the kind of girl who would want me for a boyfriend.
But by the time was 35 and got back in good shape, I had grown up and become comfortable with my new persona. I started enjoying life again. A lot.00 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Lost it? Yes. In a relatively short time? No. When I moved to Seattle I dropped 20 pounds in the first year because I was walking up and down hill to work, and because I wasn't eating free junk food at the office. So that's my advice to anyone: first eliminate the crap from your diet. Start with any drink with added sugar. Those are poison. Get them out of your mouth and out of your house. Then take inventory -- count calories for a week or so to find what you are taking in every day. Then set a reachable target. I had a trial subscription to Noom. It suggested 1400 calories but I couldn't do it, and settled on 1600. Then I dropped the subscription because in my opinion it's stupid expensive. Also, if it's safe where you live, walk more. Anything to be more active.

+1 ycutting out items that have added or artificial sugar and salt from your diet will help you naturally lose some weight over time. to much sugar in your system turns to fat and to much salt in your system makes you retain water. however most items have natural sugar and salt in them that help to balance out the bodies natural. helps to prep and cook your own meals so you know what's in things.
other then that a modest exercise plan can improve how fast you burn fat and/or build muscle. calisthenics are a nice starting point because they can be done with or without equipment. while typically targeting multiple muscle groups at the same time.01 Reply- +1 y

And ate OMAD only and ONLY meat eggs bacon yogurt fats.. veggies maybe 5%. I was carnivore full mode til I die and I look so beautiful like a snack thanks to those fats.
Veggies isn't what they tell you people feel bloated , uncomfortable and don’t know why I’m Like lady a boiled broccoli with make your poop mushy and your body mushy
People going vegan nowadays looking malnourished I feel sad. A piece or bacon or animal fat will cure your beauty not asparagus with humus and your fart be smelling like humus too jeez women eat that chicken don’t save it. God will take care of them in afterlife00 Reply

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI did in the medle of sophomore year. I started walking mon- Fri to and from school originally I wasn't doing it for weight loss. I was doing it so I didn't have to deal with the bus driver and the rules on the bus. Because I was showing up to school late I took breakfast out of my routine and just waited till fourth period lunch to eat. I would say 2 to 3 weeks into it I was needing a belt just to hold my pants up I was also noticing that it made me more calm when I walked because I was not a happy person in high school. I started making a lot of goals such as spending an hour at the parkwhether it be walking' shooting hoops etc. by the time I was a senior I was walking 5 miles to the mall. Add a certain point I wasn't gaining or losing weight I stayed about the same weight till late 20s.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yOne meal a day, AKA intermittent fasting. Very difficult for people who eat 3+ meals and snacks. The beauty of it is your meal can be as large as you want. Your stomach won’t be able to hold too much and will naturally shrink over time, decreasing how much you eat. I recommend not buying anything you can snack on except fruits and vegetables/water. Take multivitamins to supplement any nutrition you don’t get. Truly the only way to lose weight is to reduce your intake of food and exercise. You don’t need both but you will still gain weight if you eat too much even with exercise. You must discipline yourself to stop snacking especially late at night and before bed. Stop eating after 9-10pm.

+1 yI would always advise trying to lose weight quickly. There is more chance of putting it back on, but also because it is an unsafe way of doing it.
You are far better losing a couple of lbs a week. Unless of course you are huge in which case a bit more.00 Reply No. I always wished I could be one of those success stories where the person loses 150 pounds or whatever, but I've never been able to lose a single pound my entire life (Hypothyroidism makes that harder than usual), and I'm sick of doing something I loathe and despise (cardio) for zero progress.

+1 yFodmap diet while still doing keto. But you'll be miserable because you can't eat anything 😩. Now I eat whatever I want and enjoy it because I'm nourishing my body. Losing weight fast isn't healthy. It's healthy to lose 2-4 pounds a week. All diets are, are just various ways for you to be ingesting less calories than you are burning. As long as you eat well balanced meals and burn more calories than you have eaten you will lose weight.
00 Reply When I was 17, I started losing weight slowly. I lost 100 lbs by the time I was 19. I called it all baby fat anyway. I wore a nice size 10 for 10 years. Then I started gaining weight. Now I'm 36 and wear a 14, weigh 190 and it's pissing me off! I am trying that Noom, but I don't c any changes. I don't eat much, but I drink too many mochas!
00 ReplyI actually have. In less than 3 years I lost about 20 lbs. I thought I gained back the weight but when I went to my doctor I found out I'm only 125 lbs. I lost a lot of weight because I wasn't eating that much for extended periods of time. I lost my appetite and didn't want to eat. This was primarily because of stress for academic related reasons.

00 Reply942 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Yeah, I lost 10kg in less than a month. I ate instant noodles for lunch and only drank cola. I didn't go outside and some days I wouldn't eat because I ran out and didn't want to go out to buy anything. The only times I went out was when I was afraid that if I didn't eat, I might faint while buying it.
Conclusion, don't rush it, it's not healthy.
I also lost about 15kg at some point by going keto, but that was mainly because I couldn't find food without carbs, so I didn't eat at all.02 Reply

00 ReplyYes, I have. How I did it? I caught Covid-19. 🤣 While I was sick of Covid-19, I could taste only chocolate and apples, everything else had absolutely no taste, as if I was chewing on air. Chocolate and apples can't fill you when you're hungry and these two things were what I was eating in all of the 45 days with Covid-19. Since they don't contain anything that my organism can use to keep my weight constant, I started losing weight. Before Covid-19 I used to be about 120 kg, now I'm about 105.
