Do you think we should WAX babies' hair for cleanliness reason and to avoid possible lice infestation in the future?

As a means of preventative procedure, I believe that we should wax babies' hair off so that they won't have to go to the trouble of washing their hair with shampoo later in life, and they won't be able to catch lice. In fact, it's also worth noting that they won't even remember. Hair is just a waste product of the body anyways, it serves no real purpose other than being a nuisance.

With that in mind, it's a wonder that the American Pediatrics Association doesn't fight to encourage people to wax out their hair follicles at an early age, while it's not as likely to have complications as it would later on.

YES, we should wax children's hair to help them keep it clean

NO, children should have a choice about their own body and not have permanent disfiguration caused to them

In my husband's culture, they shave the babies head a few times. Also, black children rarely get lice, so I'm not worried. I get what you're trying to say here, but this is stupid. Just don't circumcise your kid, or circumcise your kid, and wax his head. The best thing about the U. S. is that it isn't mandatory. It's a choice we get to make as parents. So make the right choice for yourself.

That's crazy, and would hurt like hell, just need to trim it at times, just as often as you would wax it

That wouldn't hurt when the hair hasn't grown out yet, and babies don't feel pain anyways that's why they don't use anaesthetics in similar procedures

No that's not true, they feel everything we do , it's just that they don't know it's coming and react different to pain but pain is the same no matter what age

Uh, no. Hair serves a purpose, protecting the infants head of UV light and bugs. Rippining out the hair follicles won't stop hair growth permanently, only for a little while. And most babies don't get lice, children do.
