Broken wrist aftermath?

i broke my wrist about two weeks ago and still don't have a cast because it was a bad break and they wanted to make sure it was ready. if im correct, my cast should be off a few days before school. my problem is i broke my right wrist which is my dominant side.. am i going to be able to write and do things for school. i am getting physical therapy 100%. also, during my basketball season, would i need a wrist brace? right is my shooting hand and stronger hand.

Had my wrist partially broken. You should be fine writing as long as its not super long and big texts. Drawing and such could be a bother though.

Basketball on the other hand you definitely should NOT play until it is fully healed out. Aka 3-6 months from now depending on the pace it heals.

What carpal bone in your wrist did you break? Scaphoid, lunate, triquetral, pisiform, trapezoid, trapazium or hamate? Or was it the distal end of the ulna or radius?

Yeah. I broke my ankle 2 years ago and I could still write and do things for school.

As the doctor. My best guess is that it should be at least 3 months before you play basketball.
