I think it's sad... like even if your grandparents live to be over 100 you will still likely have to live many years without them, and even if you have faith you don't know for sure you'll ever see them, or anyone else you want to see ever again. :(

it is depressing. I spent most of today reading "the death of ivan ilych" by leo tolstoy. it's about a man's death- the process of dying, how he feels about, how he handles it. so i've got death on my mind. lol.

anyways- it is sad to think about the people who will leave us behind, the people we will leave behind... but that's just how our world is. instead of being afraid of the years without them, try your best to make the years you have with them now, count.

my parents are in their 50s, my grandfather over my mother's side is the only grandparent I have left

I haven't gone back to visit yet but I will soon, also he lived about 45 miles from where I used to live and I didn't think he wanted to come up here. He has much, much more family there than here.

Yeah, I have one older sister and yes I did because, well it was my home.
Yeah, there is crime there but I lived in one of the much safer places. It isn't that bad.

There are a lot more trees where I live now lol

Yeah, there are a lot of trees. I just didn't live in the country side lol
Florida is filled with wild animals. I could easily walk into my backyard and see snakes, iguanas, squirrels or raccoons lol

I lived in the capital city, Kingston.
I now live in a town in central Florida and sometimes I do see snakes. Most times they are the little black ones that aren't poisonous.

do you have gators in Jamaica? Do you see many in FL now?

We don't have gators in Jamaica, there are crocodiles. They are mostly found in Portmore where there are a lot of swamps, but not so much.
I haven't seen any poisonous snakes yet, only garden snakes and I haven't seen a gator in person yet either but I see alligator watch signs in some places.

Gators just want to be friends! Crocs are more dangerous anyway.

Yeah, they are there in Jamaica. I knew a few people who had them as pets.

She is older than my, by like ten years lol
Jamaica is also a third world country (we still have a lot of privileges though) and some children unfortunately can't afford to go to school.

Yes, she is my full sister.
Not really, even if you went to public school, there is a school fee involved.
My sister and I went to private school.

What was your school like? What sort of fee?

They were Roman Catholic schools (most of the people who go to these schools aren't even roman catholic, including me lol they just want really good education) and the school fees were high. I was never rich, but my parents worked really hard to get my sister and I into private schools.
For public schools, the fees are generally MUCH lower.

I don't know. It's sad to loose someone close to you unexpectedly, but people who live long lives get tired eventually. If they are at peace with their life and they are ready to go it's understandable. If someone is suffering though sickness it can be a relief in a way that they don't have to struggle anymore. Many times one or two family members will cling to a particular family member and encourage them to hold on longer than they may want to.

Just think of it this way you might die but 99.9% of the elements that make you have already been through 2 stars at least one supernova and billions of other living and non living thing and will still be around for billions of year in a continuous recycling system that will continue untell the universe it's self end even though you will die you elements will move on to way bigger and better things
