If I do yoga in my home [carpeted] do I need a yoga mat?

the yoga mat helps give you a high friction surface so you don't slip. you can try it on carpet without a yoga mat but you'll probably still find that you slip a bit.

you could have those hand and foot grip things OR the yoga mat

I do it on the floor. Lol its yoga, its the Asans that matter not what's underneath. Yogis here do it in the open over grass.

At least a carpet, don't do it on hard wood lol
