Why do some bulimic people actually hide their vomit in their room?

I've recently found this out. It's so strange and I'd like to understand why this happens.

Because they can't vomit anywhere else, and they forget to throw it away.

There's an actual desire to keep it there. (If so, why?)

I'd say it's the same as a teenager that doesn't want their parents to know they're smoking so they do it in their room with the window open and hide the butts

A bulimic person doesn't want anyone to know that they're deliberately making themselves vomit in order to lose weight from fear of being judged or getting in trouble

They both fear being judged and getting into trouble but the bulimic needs help... Not judgement

most mental illness is started or provoked with a trigger much like ptsd from war or as it was once called shell shock any loud bangs disturbing images helicopters even a certain phrase can trigger an episode and every other mental illness is the same

every mental illness has something that could trigger it in a person that has been clear of it for years or make it worse in a person still struggling to get past it

a desire to keep it there isn't even a possibility and forgetting to throw it away is unlikely I think they're just embarrassed and scared

Maybe they are chewers and spitters?
When I was in an eating disorder clinic for my anorexia there was this girl that would have snacks in plastic bags and she would just chew on them and then spit them out but never actually swallow anything so she did get the taste while her calorie intake remained 0. I found it really gross though..

I mean... I seriously worry about the amount of attention that's NOT being paid to the lives of these girls, if they're actually able to hide *entire trash bags* of... uh... effluvium, right there in their rooms. Like what the fuck?

I mean, my husband and I don't search through every little square inch of our kids' space all the time, but... THAT... is definitely something we would notice!

I do wonder, though -- and I actually want to ask YOUR opinion about this, since you're a lot closer to that age, and I'm sure you're around a bunch of people with these disorders (or signs of them at least) -- about whether my own daughter is going to go through any issues with this kind of stuff because *I'm* so (naturally) slim.
So far she's growing up with a build similar to mine -- best described as "built like a handrail" -- but I've always been "underweight" according to the government charts, and even after 3 natural childbirths I'm still right on the border of "underweight" and

"normal weight". (Right now I'm between 140-145lbs unless I'm specifically prepping for a fitness competition, and I'm 6'2".)
You could always PM me about this if you don't want to discuss it here, but -- do you think she's going to be at increased risk for eating disorders if she's not as naturally slim as her own mother?
Lmk what yr first instinct is, about that. (Also this will be SUPER relevant if our plans to adopt come to fruition and we adopt 1 or 2 more girls... because a random adopted girl will *almost certainly* not be quite as skinny as me.)
