It may be a matter of comfort and preference for you, but nobody thinks that going commando is "better for you" because it lets your crotch breathe. I don't think anyone has ever claimed that letting your crotch breathe is good for you (or bad for you).

yeah I dont wear underwears but it is a problem because I wear sweatpants so when I walk around all people see is a swinging penis. but I understand your struglle, feels more natural

Now that I think about it I was wearing some shorts that I had owned for like 5 years and my girlfriend at the time said I had to change. I was confused, and asked why.
