Girls, if when you get a mammogram, you don't feel any discomfort, would you tell your technologist to squeeze harder?

Because, as intrusive as it may sound, squeezing the breast is very important because it spreads out the breast tissue and allows for a much clearer picture.

The tighter they squeeze, the better the image BUT squeezing it to the point where it starts to pinch doesn't make the image any better. However, if it's not tight enough that you feel uncomfortable then there's a good chance that the image quality is compromised (and something could be missed)
