Yes, my mother passed with smoking related cancer
11/10/2003 My mom's brother ( my uncle) passed 2/11/2014
from smoking cancer related death. My Maternal Grand-dad
passed away 8/25/1996 due to smoking related cancer he
lived the longest of them two he survived 22 years with throat
cancer and cancer took his life from smoking. Yes cancer is
a bad thing and smoking is most likely related to 50 % of the
cancers.

Nope, I don't think I have known anyone personally with it, distant relatives of acquaintances only. Certainly nobody in my family, i can only imagine how horrible the news would be.

My maternal grandfather died of lung cancer. My paternal grandfather survived prostate cancer. My boyfriend had a minor form of skin cancer, but still worried me!

  Oh shit, my paternal grandma had the same kinda skin cancer, I forgot. My aunt had it too but a different kind. Both are fine.

My grandpa on my mom's side died of cancer, my grandma on my dads side died of cancer, and I have an old teacher with cancer.

Yea. A couple distant relatives have been diagnosed with cancer and a few died from it. Also my aunt died of cancer 2 years ago.

Yeah my mom, due to smoking. She still smokes and it hurts me to see her self-destructive behavior. Nobody wants their relatives to be like that.
