Trending & News It sounds as if you are not getting enough vitamins. It is vital that you get enough IRON and vitamin C. You said you're a vegetarian... Well, you have to eat a lot of foods just to get a tiny bit of iron. You can get it from dark green vegetables, beans, raisins, breads, cereal, and pasta. However, the amount you get from those foods is often lower than one might assume. Look at the nutritional facts to see what percentage of iron it contains. Go for products with the most iron. I had anemia (and might still have it), so I know the struggle with that.
As far as getting sick goes, that is likely because your immune system is low from a lack of other vitamins (more specifically, vitamin C). One orange each day can really help your body out. It is also important that your diet contains lots of COLORS. If you can eat a rainbow of whole foods, then you are almost guaranteed to be healthy. I do not recommend cooking all of your foods, since they do lose nutritional value when boiled.
Of course, you could be lazy and take supplements, but that doesn't always help. Your body cannot properly absorb them. You need whole foods and sunlight.
if i start feeling under the weather i get some fresh ”spring onions” and chop them up and eat them like a salad alongside some hot broth and sleep with a scarf wrapped around my neck in a warm bed and i wake up feeling better than ever. you can wait til night if you can't take the day off but i find that it's better to do it asap.
on days when you aren't sick i recommend making simple smoothies with plain yogurt and bananas
ginger and garlic are good too but spring onions are the only thing that have really worked for me
You said you exercise often is that correct? That could have something to do with it my major used to be occupational therapy I did well in my science classes and I remember my teacher telling me how the constant level ph can change and can cause a flue. www.sciencedirect.com/.../S000527361300357X
Also if you go to the gym you could have just came in contact with someone elses germs. And Anemia hmm maybe I guess that it would depend on what kind of red blood cell anemia you have it can't be pernicious anemia like how I have as well cause I rarely get the flu virus type A-C. Perhaps if you had sickle-cell anemia then yeah that would make you more prone to getting the flue.
I only ever go to my home gym, which is literally only used by me and sometimes my mom & dad. I don't have any of those typical forms of anaemia, either, it's apparently caused by something being wrong with my splenic and some malnutrition but the latter is just ridiculous at this point because I'm seriously eating A LOT, like wayyyyy more than I used to and I'm literally forcing myself to eat, I mean just look at my profile picture I'm literally getting so gross and fat from it so I'm definitely not malnourished.
No I don't think its that either I don't knwo why other people on here are saying you're malnourished if you really were they would have to pump your stomach and feed you through a tube for at least a few days until you would be able to start eating yourself and plus malnourished symptoms are super obvious. I grew up in Iraq and I've seen lots of malnourished kids its so obvious when someone is. You're not on any medication are you?
My nest best guess is to just go to the doctor and have them run a full scan on you.
And whoops I spelled ph wrong *pH.
Yeah the anemia definitely doesn't help, but I think you've also said in the past that you are underweight. You should really try to gain some weight, which does indeed help to give a person more energy and strength to fight off infections. Of course, this calls for a different diet or portions than what you've normally been eating day to day. Some other people here have already offered some good tips on foods, so I won't go into them again. I'm not an expert on dieting anyway. xD
But I hope you'll get better soon!

See an MD immediately. How long has this been going on? If you are getting multiple infections it could be a compromised immune system. If your temperature remains within 98-991/2 you are probably going through normal body temp. changes. If you're talking about over 100 degrees F. then you should get help. Do what you can (Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids are clinically shown to bolster immune)
It's usually between 100-102/103 when I'm having fevers, I wouldn't even consider anything below 100 a fever but my normal body temperature is around 36 degrees C (97 F) so 39 is quite the raise :P I don't see the urgency though, I'm having fevers so often so unless its seriously high like 41-42 degrees Celsius I don't see a reason to panic..
I personally found this website very helpful: https://alchemycalpages.com/intro.html
I'm imagining that your diet is towards the extreme yin side, quantitatively and qualitatively.
Ahh there is no way to prevent it as my doc says. I have the same problemo as you because i have a weak immune system. Best way is to intake plenty of vitamins especially C. Either in tablet form or juice or fruit. This build the immune system. And fights colds and yucky stuff.
Yes, if you are anemic, your body resistance is lower so talk to your doctor about it. Maybe you need some supplements.
I doubt the anemia is helping any that's for sure. That's sounds serious you should see a doctor as soon as possible.
I was too until I stopped eating junk food and ate more healthy, went to bed on time and prayed more.
Also I was underweight
Best to see a doctor and ask them what could be wrong.
check your diet and do some sports... other than that you can't do much. just get checked by a doctor, they can better tell what might causing
I think you answered your own question it's probably the anemic condition, and so if possible try to get it treated
How exactly though not too knowledgeable about anemia.
Wow I'm sorry that's insane maybe try staying warm and getting a lot of iron, it might at least make it a little easier I hope
lol no problem, the other thing you could maybe do is just make sure to not strain yourself and to get rest as often as possible.
Your skin looks extremely pale. Maybe you should consume blood level increasing nutrients more. Get well soon.
Tomatoes, meat, grapes and little wine...
I think you need more vitamins and stuff I heard you should drink more orange juice and stuff😮😮
@jxpxtxr then how are you still sick😔
Oh doesn't that mean you need to eat more cheeseburgers?😅lol sorry I don't know
What kind of diet do you do? Are you getting the good vitamins, minerals and stuff?
How about having me to cuddle in bed with to warm you up? Perhaps i could be the cure to your yellow fever once and for all 🤔
Some people are born with better immune systems than others.
Me I've actually got a fairly good one
Maybe you have the same cold.
You said you are anemic and that you are a recovering anorexic,
Those two things both wreck an immune system by themselves, together you'll have problems
Yeah OP :/ you should go eat a burger, with Waffles (for dessert)

Yes... Low blood pressure. My mom has the same thing
Protein. You also lack iron too. You should actually eat cashews. They are protein rich dear. You especially should eat sesame. For your iron.
Stay healthy my pretty friend.*.
Um well what did your physician say?
Did you have it checked?
Um sorry about that bestie. :/.
Do you have lots of allergies?
Ohh maybe a small nasal allergy with the sinus and all? My doctor told me it can tire your immune system and indeed Im sick very often :/
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Hahaha good one ! This always works ! :-)
I'm anemic too
That's the issue 😒
