What's the ideal weight for a girl if she's 5'3-5'5?

If you go from a health perspective, I say that BMI is a pretty good measure. So that would mean like 125 lbs? But here's the thing -- I don't think you should focus so much on weight but more on health like how much you can lift, how fast and long you can run, etc. If those things are place, you'll feel great and almost by default, you'll look great.

I know this is an extreme example, but I have a friend Kristy Hawkins (OMG, she comes up in Google and has her own Wikipedia page... I had no idea!), and she's your height and gets pretty heavy. But again, it's not about weight. As an aside, I first met her at a company Christmas party and people told me she was a weightlifter, but wearing a dress, she looked like a completely normal looking woman. In fact looking at these Google pictures of her... it's actually hard for me to believe that that's the same woman because I've never seen her stripped down like that. Anyway...

@LittleLila I think that's interesting for you to say. When does it break? It breaks on someone like Kristy, but she's an extreme, extreme outlier. Where do you see BMI breaking on a typical, everyday human body?

Because according to my bmi, I'm overweight.
Bmi only works on a small percentage of people, in my line of work the kind of people I use the bmi on are on either side of its usefulness.
It's a very old way of measuring mass and it's outdated now.

I think anywhere from 105 to 125 pounds is healthy for a girl that height depending on her build

I'm 5'4" :P and I weigh 55-57kg last time I checked. My profile shows my build. I go to gym a lot, which is why I weigh a little more than I should.
