How to refill a prescription/Who do I speak to first?

Hey everyone. A year ago, I switched from getting my birth control pills at my pharmacy to using express scripts (sent by mail to my house). Unfortunately, Express Scripts did not carry the original brand (Necon), so I got the generic, Cyclafem.

Recently, I am switching back to getting Necon at a local pharmacy. I cancelled Express Scripts all together, now, because the brand of this current pill (Cyclafem) is not covered by my new insurance.

I cancelled Express Scripts. Now what? Who do I contact first: A. My Doctor or B. the local drug store? How does it all work?

Pharmacists; what is the process?

PS: Still have enough pills for a few months, incase of tech issues.

Help.
