well I can't sleep either which is why i'm on right now. While cliche i find listening to classical music helpful some times. A personal go to of mine is Bethoven's piano sonata #14, moonlight sonata. It is a really nice piece.. for the first like 5 minutes, to help u go to sleep. there are some nice things on youtube that add in nature sounds. taking a hot shower can be nice, losen up so that you can relax. if humidity is an issue taking a shower will make u feel it less because you will be wet from showering. also when im hot and trying to sleep i like to grab an ice pac and some ice water. drink the ice water, put the ipecac on ur head, neck etc. also not to sound pervy or anything but try masturbating some. helps with sleep for many people.

I try to do something to keep my mind pre-occupied, especially if the reason why you are awake is stress related.

If it's humid, take a shower to try and cool off. That's what I have to do sometimes in the summer. Or grab a glass of cool water, put on a fan. Take off a blanket, add a sheet. Adjust the heat (or air conditioning) where you are if you are able to.

I usually find when I put on a movie, it takes my mind off of trying to get more sleep, and I am able to fall asleep more easily.

Breath in 4 secounds, hold your breath for 7 secounds and breath out for 8 secounds. Repeat this action a couple of Times' and you should feel sleepy.
