Trending & News hated em all. hurt more than helped, some were more addictive.. found out that therapy and self improvement based on self-esteem did a lot better for me. Having exercises that helped with public speaking or small talk. Saw a lot of my friends get addicted. I felt better off them and it didn't even do that much for the anxiety. Having a full night's rest and good self-esteem did a lot better for me personally.
I don't take any of those, I take sertraline, which I think is a depression medication first and foremost but also is given to people with anxiety. I also have GAD, not social anxiety, but in my case the meds do work. They don't really change my libido but they do make me pretty exhausted all the time and give me some insomnia and sometimes I experience nausea but at least it does help with the anxiety.
Never had Valium.
Xanax does the trick but you may not remember what was going on when you took it the next day.
Klonopin wasn't as helpful but they have a kind where if you put it under your tongue it will dissolve into your tongue straight into the vessel and will work right away. Great for panic or anxiety attacks as a right away PRN.
Wife is on some for anxiety. Yes libido is lower and has caused massive weight gain which also causes lower libido.
What is she on? Does it work for anxiety?
I'll try to find the actual name. It works most of the time, but her anxiety peaks sometimes and she needs to take an extra pill for a few days until she calms down. She has obsessive thinking.
She is on Effexor.

Zoloft is evil. I thought I was going to die on it.
I'm running with Lexapro which I find better. My anxiety is the same though.
It's messing with my sex drive though. I don't have anything close to a girlfriend and probably will never get one for the rest of my life anyway, but I do notice a lack of care sexually.
They work incredibly well, but it isn't a long term solution, benzodiazepines are very addictive and have terrible withdrawal symptoms.
I take Xanax. It helps a bit.
I've never taken one.
