Why are many Arabs so hairy?

Genetics.
The middle east is a very sunny and warm region. Evolutionary it would have profited them to have more hair to get less sun rays and be protected from the uv damages on their skin.
People living on higher altitude would have benefited from less hair so they could absorb whatever sunlight they get during the long and cold winter months. The same thing goes for their skin tone. Light skin can absorb more sun and produce more vitamin D. But darker skin needs more sun light to produce the same amount if vitamin D. That's why individuals with dark skin living in less sunny regions are more pron to suffer from vitamin D deficiency than their light skin counterparts.

Man had evolved as a hairy creature because nature needed him to be so. But now since man has started living in the city , man is becoming ignorant of why body hair are important. Hairy people are more primitive in nature and their genes are still having many of the original properties with which man evolved. So having hair on body is actually a good thing. Only fashion industry have made hairy men look ugly.

I live in the UAE and I don't see any very hairy men, except Pakistanis etc. Arabs tend to be more clean and if there's hair its trimmed or shaved lol
