Lebanon and Syria were occupied by the French at one point so a lof them look exactly like Europeans due to intermarriages.

Why do some Russians look Scandinavian or Korean?
You're talking about the Russians/Serbians who live far east. They share a gene pool with Mongolians and other Asians in that area.
You're also forgetting that Caucasians were once from that area too (Caucus mountains).
Russians in Saint Petersburg look very Swede.
That's western Russia. So, yes, they're more like Swedes. Both do have a long Viking history and interacted with eachother. So, it makes sense.
