What's the growth spurt of a tall girl like?

European people (both men and women) seem to always be taller. There is a German girl in my class that's 5'11.

How do those tall girls start out as? Are they always a lot taller even as 10-12 year-olds or they tend to get their periods at a later age (hence, allowing them more time to grow).

Yes, genetics plays a role but some of my friends have tall parents and grandparents, yet only the guys came out tall but not the girls (they would stopped growing between ages 12-14 when they got their periods or only grew 1-2 inches... even so that still wasn't tall).

well You are kind of right.
im dead average at 164 cm or 5.3 feet.
i used to be taller than most girls, but the now tall girls grew very fast suddenly.
And most of them did have periods later than the other girls.

that's what I hate about early periods
On textbook they always have it as ages 16-18 where girls stop growing but for that to be true, the girls would have to start their periods ages 14-16 at least.
But since the age of getting our periods is on average ages 11-13 years old, that means she won't grow more or very little. So the time girls stop growing is really 12-15 years old.

My parents are both Ethnically from Bangladesh, South Asia. My mother is an average height of 5’5 and my dad is solid 6’0 or 183cm. I never really had much of a growth spurt just gradually grew by an inch or so every year. My height has remained the same since I’ve been 16 and I am now 5’10 or 178cm. I was around 5’6 when I started secondary/middle school and for a while was the tallest in my class and that included the boys. In comparison my older brother who’s 2 years above me had a huge growth spurt around 13 but he finished growing at 5’9

Ok. A brother and sister should love each other regardless. My best friend is shorter than both his sisters.
