"oh, i bet you just love tea and crumpets. how many dogs have you got? hello govna!" okay yes i get it i'm fucking English but don't you realise that we're not tea addicts we're more like "oh shut up you absolute bell end, go suck a dick and kill yourself you wanker." lmao
I haven't been stereotyped for being Canadian, but I have been stereotyped for being Italian. I have a deep Italian accent. People of other ethnicities have called me a wop.
Yea I have been stereotyped: 1. Mostly by white people 2. They think just because I'm black I'm poor 3. They also judge me by my personality (I might seem like a mean person, but just because I seem like one doesn't mean I am)
When I tell people I'm Canadian they're always like " oh Canada is full of really nice people" like sure there's some nice people like there are in other countries, but I've known quite a bit people who wouldn't fit into the "nice" category. And this one time when I was out in British Columbia and I told someone I was from Ontario they assumed that I can skate really well and that I'm fluent in french, I'm lucky if I can introduce myself in french let alone go past "how are you?"😂
Of course! I am Colombian. I have received nice comments and ill comments: +Your country is beautiful and have beautiful women. +Your coffee is great. +Your people is kind, friendly and cheerful. -Is it true your city is filled with prostitutes? -Does every girl sell herself as shown in that telenovela? -Is it as dangerous as shown in that telenovela?
Some might think I'm a friendly and cheerful person, I don't mind. But I mind when they think I can be a prostitute or a drugdealer.
I'm from Germany so I'm either a nazi or what is mostly the case: "A hard working precise human with not that much humor." I find both rather amusing :)
Well in Germany you can't show any symbols which regards to Nazis. This includes this particular shout. If you would shout that in public here chances are great you will get arrested.
oh ok. that must be why some video games arnt allowed there. what about history class in school. do they just skip those years or is what happen tought?
Haha skip. You're joking :P well learn history and after every "normal" theme we skip to the Nazis to remind ourselves how bad they were and what we have to do to prevent it from happening again. And yes video games like wolfenstein get altered before they get released here.
as an American, I've been stereotyped as stupid and overweight and useless individuals who elected a racist loser into presidency. but in fact, not everyone voted for this said loser and people like me work our asses off to look hot and stay in school. so yea it sucks
Ja. People in other countries with different cultures like USA and Britain think we all eat chokladbollar and köttbullar, get everything paid for by government, where folkdräkt in everyday life, live next to wild ren and they probably even think we fly them with jultomten at Christmas... Is not fun
I'me from Missouri, in America, I get sterio typed all the time because I'm a country boy I've never had bad experiences though everyone love a Country boy.

I'm a mixed girl from Jerusalem (english, greek and Arab) that lives in the US. And the second people find out they just gasp and say "YOU'RE FROM THE HOLY CITY?" It's kinda funny cause I never thought about it. Lol.
As I was in Greece I perceived the Greek indifferent, even borderline unfriendly, if I outed as a German. So I lied. Soy de Espana, cerca en norte de Barcelona. My Spanish isn't good, neither was the taxidriver's; nonexistent, to be honest. Broken English and which club I like more, Barcelona or Madrid? *shrug* The end of the story: he apologized to me that his English wasn't good and even returned some of the fare tip!
Yeah, in my country of birth and overseas. Italian, born in Australia, travelled across Europe. It was awesome watching people listen to us in awe as we spoke English in our Aussie accent.
I have seen some attempts at stereotyping my country, but the people who would stereotype my country also have no idea about my country at all. So it doesn't really work out.

Ok but you can't blame people for the last one, and especially not just white people

They told me I had small dick just because I was from Asia. Seriously, what does location got to do with dick size?
Yeah! I get tired hearing all those stuff too
Well, I am German..
I guess, we all know where this is going. However, I've learned to ignore any kind of stereotypes by now.
I'm from Germany so I'm either a nazi or what is mostly the case: "A hard working precise human with not that much humor." I find both rather amusing :)
That Nazi stereotype is a bit harsh.
It sure is. But we grow up to be ashamed to our history. And even Erdogan the Turkish president called at least Merkel nazi ^^
heil hitler
If you're German you officially committed a crime. Congratulations.
na man i like Germany. why is it a crime tho

Yup and I've been stereotyped by those in my own country because of where I live.
And I'm fine with it, honestly all their opinion does is show to the world their own ignorance.
