Feeling the need to count suggests it's potentially an obsession, which isn't healthy. I understand some people need to achieve a particular look for particular reasons and understand that strict diets and how much or little they consist of is key to success. Bodybuilders ripping before events, boxers shedding/gaining to fulfil requirements for a new weight division, or maybe you need to fit into a wedding dress in 5 weeks! I understand people's need to obsess in such situations, but their obsession is short lived in fact, once they've done it they can relax, even reverse if they wished. It's when calories and the battle against them become a cog in your mechanics, an obsession that's quite unnecessary and NEVER NEEDED but has wormed it's way into your routine because of your attitudes towards achieving whatever it is you want to achieve, bombing all possibly of failure is the reverse of the same coin
obsessed is a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.
@animus1988
People so dedicated they see the negative impacts they often have as worthwhile sacrifices in the scheme of things, or their scheme more to the point
You should devoteyourself entirely to removing your head from your arse, mere dedication won't won't I assure you
*won't work
Apologies...
Learn English.
@animus1988
Learn how to deliver insults that actually insult, and insult those you deliver them to.. such attributes give insults their power to offend
Your insult was aimed at me, me being undeserving of it, so undeserving that the insult lost all credibility and became the remark a semi-functional person would make.
Half person, half box, 'wears' a spring in an incredibly deep way, rooted in the arse? A cunt so unfortunate that living a predominantly solitary life, in complete darkness, daylight a short luxury that's enjoyed whilst bouncing is their bizarre reality, they're a living jack-in-a-box! So twisted and of no benefit is the existence of a sprung person, caged in a hinged box, it's appreciation gives the label of someone who is 'coiled', twisted people sleep in beds and express their brand of madness through their behaviour and poor communication like normal people, when expressing the madness that is being 'coiled' is as unique as the problem itself. The 'coiled' brand..
... of madness is suffered very much in silence. Jacko-folk are aware of the ridiculousness that's their life, and how they appear when taken at 'sprung-value'.. far beyond hilarious, far beyond, so far that the cruel level of hilarity is known as being 'bouncy'. The first jack-in-a-box mass dwelling, a coiled-favela is what it's known as, appeared at the beginning of the year, soon they're going to be all over the place like the jacko-folk that live in them seem to be doing. They're more of you, more, I promise...
The idea of a state that is exclusively lived in by the needlessly living that are jacko-folk like yourself. Row upon row of neat oversized boxes that have the curiosities that are a winding handle and a hinged lid...
Tourists will be bold on occasion and let their curiosity for the unordinary, and the fact jacko-folk are so rarely seen because they're nearly always jacks in-their-box and rare appearances out of them just makes the tourists crank the 'handles for what' and are shown the rare ascendency that is them emerging from the box, be they short lived and involve them bouncing all over the place with no control over the direction or duration of the over the top bouncing that is symbolic with the rare sightings of them...
People of your kind have no reason to live, but so funny is your life in a box, that you can't escape because you're 'shackled' by an intrusive spring that'is ndifferent to the chains worn by dungeon dwellers round their wrists and ankles, except the chain is a spring that isn't worn by arse, instead the arse is worn, by the spring, again so cruel is it's level of hilarity
Do you yourself admit that jack-in-a-boxes are fucking unbelievable and aren't to be taken seriously whatsoever?
LMAO if you think im gonna read that wall of text, you lazy fat piece of shit.
Counting calories can be helpful in the short term when trying to make a lifestyle change or reset your eating habits. Many people have no clue as to how many calories they consume on a daily basis, so using an app like my fitness pal or something to actually keep track and see just how many calories- and what kind of calories- you're consuming can be a real eye opener. Doing that for a few months fan be very helpful toward developing better habits.
But I agree that counting calories over the long term isn't usually a good thing. It's too easy to become obsessive about it, especially if you're a person who has addictive or obsessive tendencies
@animus1988 yeah I agree thst you should always have a rough idea of how much you're consuming and what. But I think a lot of people don't realize how many calories they're taking in with little stuff that adds up here and there that they may not think about until it's written out right in front of them... things like adding a cream and sugar to your coffee in the morning... that's 70 to 80 calories right there. If you drink 2 or 3 coffees suddenly you're looking at 140 to 250 calories that I guarantee you think nothing of. Same with pop and juice. Have a cookie? That can he anywhere from 200 to 850 calories. All empty ones. So that's why I say when someone is trying to make a lifestyle change, tracking every morsel for at least a couple weeks can be very helpful.
@animus1988
Wow, you've got me pretty much worked out! Fat and lazy, the first very much so and the second too, although not anywhere near as much, but you worked both out just by partially reading the shit I wrote. I haven't given you the credit you deserve, and for that I really am sorry
I'm sticking with what I said. It's a necessity to those who have targets that make it so, but to the rest who have time, a luxury, it's not needed. Good diet and exercise is sufficient enough
Part of good dieting is having an awareness or your calorie like I said earlier.
Calorie intake *
No, because counting calories doesn't show how healthy your diet is. If you're very active but you're only taking 1800 calories a day still makes it quite unhealthy because you're missing energy. Then it depends on what you eat - lets say someone needs 2500 calories a day. Just eating 5 chocolate bars to get to 2500 wouldn't be healthy - it would even be more healthy if the same person would eat a diverse amount of fruits, vegetables and chicken for 3000 calories.
No I don't count calories, but I do count carbs. I try to stay under 50 carbs a day. It actually makes way more sense to count carbs rather than calories because there are a lot of good, healthy foods that have high calories. And there are a lot of bad foods that have low calories, so counting calories doesn't really make sense. Things with high carbs are Pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, sweets, and the majority of processed food. When on a low carb diet, you mainly want to eat protein, low carb veggies, and fruit. (I don't count the carbs in fruit as instructed by my personal trainer). So all you do is keep your net carbs (carbs - dietary fiber) under 50 a day :) It works wonders! lost 30 lbs in 3 months, skin has cleared up, and don't get acid re-flux or heartburn at all like I used to.
I do it every so often to make sure what I eat keeps me on track of my goals. so mostly when I have a life style change or something that can change the way I feel like eating. Like start of school, start of break, going on a trip, around finals, etc. if I notice that I'm gravitating towards different food than I'm used to ill start logging it for a few days just to stay on track
I don't count every single calorie, but I do pay attention to how much I'm consuming and I try to keep my meals under 600 and snacks under 200. Breakfast and lunch are usually 300 to 500 and snacks are usually between 100 and 200.
To a point. I have to carb count or I'm dead bc of Chronic illness. But when my weight creeps up and my pants are snug i typically caloroe count too. I can eat from 2-5k a day normally. But when watching i go down to 1500-1800

I do, simply because if I don’t I go way over and gain weight easily and quickly. I’m not pedantic about it, it’s more to be mindful, and I don’t count macros unless I’m trying to lose weight instead of maintaining
No, I count calories to cut and shed fat. Health isn't my priority, do I do try to use some degree of common sense and put some fruits and greens in there. My mother also tends to make healthy food, so that health. "Healthy" isn't necessarily an indicator to be being thin.
I used to for 2 or 3 decades. It led my to choosing the wrong foods sometimes so long as I stayed within 4,000 calories. I'm a night time eater and just gave into it. No carbs all day. Protein and fat only. Then the only carbs I eat are at nigh with vegetables to control the insulin spike from carbs. I know its back asswards but it works for me because its easy to stick with. My body is depleted of glycogen from the day's activities and just sucks up the carbs.
obsessed is a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.
@animus1988 Exactly.
lol i meant to post in the other comment where the kid said its "obsessive to count calories"
you can be aware of the number a little sure... but you don't have to count unless it's for fitness...
Yes, I use spreadsheets for counting not only my calories, but also my intake of minerals, vitamins, essential amino acids, etc. I mean... if you're going to do something like that, you might as well do it properly. Nutrition isn't simply about calories, you know!
Well, I try to eat smaller amounts of the unhealthy food I eat, but I never count calories. But that's probably because I don't gain any weight even if I want to
yes because I'm vegan - vegetables, fruits and grains are low calories so I have to know that I eat enough ♡
