Do guys like it when girls talk sports?

Recently, I was on holiday with my (female) best friend and we were on a public bus, discussing soccer in our native language. Although we don't play ourselves, we love to watch the games, especially the World Cup, Euro Cup and Champions League matches. After some time, a guy (who obviously spoke our language) gets up from his seat and asks us the (seemingly rhetorical) questions whether we're really soccer fans... and gets off the bus without saying another word. My best friend and I didn't quite know what to make of this... Did he not agree with our assessment? Didn't he like the fact that we were talking sports? Was he surprised? While these questions can't be answered I would like you guys to tell me whether you like or dislike it when women talk soccer (or football, basketball, etc.)?

I know what you mean. I love sport live and breathe it and honestly don't know what I would do with my weekends if I wasn't going to a game of some sort. Some guys can be really condescending and think what do you know about sport you're a girl. But saying that my father, my brothers, my fiance and all my male friends(quite a few) expect me to comment and argue and prove my point. It really depends on the guy. I also know some guys who the only women they've known have been girly girls with no interest in sport and they are surprised by me. I do have to say though the most annoying thing is anyone, male or female, trying to talk sport when they doesn't have a clue. I have no problem with people who ask questions because they don't know but people who feign interest do my head in, and also when I see a girl at a game dressed like she's going clubbing, its a game wear appropriate clothing and shoes. OK rant over now

if I were to watch sports I prefer hockey!

but I am not hardcore into them.

but if the man wants to get into some fishin or hunting I'm allllll down :)

haha I LOVE to watch football. I always thought I'd be the coolest girlfriend ever for it. To bad my current boyfriend doesn't like football.

Well since u've said "on holiday" and were talking about soccer...I take it you are from Europe lol...Not sure if it's different over there...but in the U.S., were msotly into football, Basketball. I'm not a huge baseball fan but I watch it ocassioanlly. But if a girl is really into a team and like stlaking sports...I thinks its SOOOOO awesome! I love it. You get the idea tha tmost girls aren't itnerested or view sports (esp. male ones) as some kind of cave-man, childless thing that guys do because they're immature. To see a girl get into it is really attractive to me!

I thought Real too considering their home advantage...which club/ country do you support. I am distraught over Rooney's betrayal of Man Utd.

Yeah, I didn't understand that either... bizarre, case of hurt pride, I reckon. I don't support any club in particular. Since I have family in Munich, I would have to support Bayern. They have great players (Schweinsteiger etc) but... I don't know... I just don't like them, I'm more of an underdog person... so I don't support anyone. I love watching, though.

The only way I would like it if a girl talked sports is if that's what she WANTED to talk about, As long as she's being true to herself and not trying to impress me by pretending to be something she's not than its very attractive in any topic she would want to talk about.
