Upside down Y scar on lower chest?

I'm curious what medical procedure would cause this kind of scar?

I'll admit im sticky beaking, i saw this scar on someone who posted to this site i frequent, the long end went up between her breasts, and the "prongs" of the Y, formed like a roof over her belly.

does anyone know what kind of procedure would cause this? It's such an interesting scar.

the prongs are above the belly but below the rib cage

its not heart surgery or rib removal. Its the wrong shaped scar in the wrong place for those. Completely healed and sunken into the skin rather than raised.

The only one I am aware of is a Y incision done during an autopsy. The only thing I found online was a woman who had a tumor in her perineal cavity. Though incisions follow a protocol depending on the surgery being performed, an incision can change once the surgery starts.

Usually it's flipped. The stem of the Y starts from the stomach and the prongs of the Y are where the breast bones are. Maybe they needed to flip it cause what they needed was in the stomach or lower half of the torso.

The only thing I know that cut pattern from is an autopsys, I suppose if your whole torso had to be opened for surgery they might do it the same way

Sounds like cardiac surgery. But it could be a whole host of things depending on the age of the scar due to surgical techniques constantly evolving

the mark of cain, after a simple image search, is a small burn scar commonly found on the wrist or arm, that looks like a backwards 7 with 2 dots.

I'm talking about a large, clearly medical scar in the shape of an upside down Y.
