How do you stay motivated...
Thank you in advance
LOL, I'm the same way. Today I had pizza with black olives and grape soda. It's like a second on your lips, forever on the hips. -_-
Anyway-
The key is to make small changes that will eventually turn into huge outcomes.
What I mean is:
1. Eat healthier. This doesn't mean only eating fruits, veggies and chickens for the rest of your life. You couldn't possibly be happy and stay motivated to lose the weight on the diet of a supermodel. It means smaller portions, better food choices, having a cheat day everyone once in awhile. Drinking more water, less soda/coffee/juice/tea (unless it's green tea). Skipping fast food and being conscious of what you order when you're out at a restaurant.
2. Get active. Don't give yourself a regiment you can't stick to. You'll set yourself up to fail. Start small. Go for a jog every morning. Get your body conditioned to working and running. Then, once you're feeling good you can start taking your workouts up a notch. Try hitting the gym for an hour a day. Do some weights. Make sure you do cardio. Try different activities that are fun and make you fit so you'll actually enjoy working out! Zumba, kick-boxing, yoga, pilates, pole-dancing. Whatever works for you.
3. Buy clothes! Buy an amazing outfit a few sizes smaller than what you're currently wearing. Hang it up where you can see it. It will give you a goal to work towards. Instead of focusing so much on the numbers on the scale, when you can finally wriggle into that outfit without effort you'll know you've done well!
Good luck.
These are awesome suggestions, thank you very much!
You're quite welcome.
Have you tried joining an online weightloss group. I used www.myfitnesspal.com, it was great to be able to talk to other people and get ideas about health and weightloss. It is free and it really helped me stay motivated. I have lost 117lbs so far using myfitnesspal.
Unfortunately, when I put on weight I got stretch marks. Every morning I wake up, and see how a few months of drinking and over eating can do to me by causing these marks. That's my motivation. Lose the weight, and carry the signs you accomplished your mission over weight gain.
Oh my goodness, I am exactly the same way. I actually just posted a very similar question. I'll try to let you know if I get any good answers! :)

--try cutting your meals to smaller portions
-don't eat late at night
-stay away from things that have a lot of sugar or grease
-while I "attempted" to workout, I looked at hilary duff's abs while I did workouts to keep me motivated
Make your "diet" changes lifestyle pictures, not an actual diet.
Thinspiration helps me personally.
I meant lifestyle changes...don't know what I was thinking of.Make your diet a lifestyle change, rather than a "diet"
look in the mirror PERIOD
Is that a serious suggestion or was that supposed to be rude?
Oh, are you saying that's what you do to stay motivated? I thought you meant I should look in the mirror to stay motivated to stay on my diet since I was overweight, lol. I get you now...
