Lip piercing and braces?

I've got to have my braces very soon but my dad has just agreed i can have my lip pierced and he's going to pay and everything i've been wanted my lip pierced since i was 14 is it a good idea or will it hurt or catch on my braces please help i really want it done =[

Speaking from experience, I would hold off having your lip done until you get your braces off. I've had both braces and have lip pierced with a labret and a medusa. The labret caught on my teeth and still does from time to time and while you've got braces this is gonna catch and rub on the metal like mad, plus your orthodontist will go absolutely bonko as most dentists etc, hate piercings due to the fact they can wear away the enamel (I've never had any problems but they love to bang on about it).

I know you want it done love, but I would say hold fire for now. Get your teeth straightened out first, the piercing can wait.

i think a lip pierce would suit you only because you have that image for one. like for me, it would never look right on me. I wanted one though well technically a monroe but same ish ya know? I can't deal with pain if you you can take it then cheers to you! whaoo! I think it would be annoying if you got your lips pierced and braces only because you know how braces gives you that pout look with your lips like a fishy face, it might look funny a little.

lol if you get your lips pierced I'm sure it wouldn't hurt as bad as braces, I just got brackets in my mouth and UGHH the orthodontists is so aggressive haha

It's probably not a good idea because the metals may rub against each other and cause irritation and you'll have to be extra careful when cleaning and getting your braces on, then routinely and periodically getting them tightened.

I would really wait.
