I sold shoes for just under a year. He's my semi-professional opinion:
Converses typically have flat soles. Flat soled shoes are good for lifting weights, they help your stance and weight distribution. They do a poor job with running/cardio, however; you will typically want something with more cushion there.
Different people need support in different places, so getting a good pair of running shoes isn't a one-size fits all deal. There are plenty of articles online about how to select one that's right for you, and I recommend doing your own research.
You've got a bangin' body. Keep up the good work!
Everyone who is saying no probably doesn't even go to the gym. It depends on what you're doing in the gym, but I wear converse shoes to the gym 5 days a week. Flat shoes are IDEAL when you're doing stuff like squatting or deadlifting. If you're lifting weights, flat shoes like converse are fantastic.
However, if you're doing cardio stuff, walking, jogging, yeah, definitely horrible for your feets. You'll want walking shoes or running shoes.
As a heavy gym goer, I wear my Nike cross trainers when Im lifting and running or spinning.
I put my converses ( i got them on now) after Im done. I think long term support here. But I really go to the gym to hit the weights and treadmill hard not to dress up and be fashionable. I do that afterward.
It would be like wearing a bralette vs my Nike sports bra when Im working out...
No. You're using athletic shoes for a REASON. That's like going to the gym in high heels. But if you can do it, good for you. Just not smart unless you want to risk bunyons and other physical foot deformity diseases.

I feel converse has ads no comfort for anything, even squats and deadlift. They really don't over any ankle support despite being high tops. I've worn converse to even do pushups, the way my toes squashed into the front was kinda painful as the front digs into your feet.
People use them for weights.
Tbh in opinion i prefer the same shoes i use for everything else which are adidas nmd. So comfortable.
I've tried converse on weight day and just wasn't into it, even keds are more comfortable.
Converse is just a look for the gym
If you're doing cardio no, but it helps with weightlifting specifically squats or deadlifts because their flat so you can use all of your muscle to push off the ground when you come back up. So it depends what you're going for.
The one person who goes to the gym, here.
They look cute n I see people wear them at the gym.. omg there are not comfortably at all, no cushion. It's too look cool.. period. pain.
I got a pair of New Balance extra wide 10.5 and they have done
me justice since 2017 and i should buy new pair but i could never
do Converse gym shoes. No offense to one who prefers them.
They're great if you plan on doing squats and deadlifts if your gym don't allow you to do it without shoes, otherwise it doesn't matter.
They are good because they are flat, which is good for lifting weights but bad for running... so depends what you do
I have converses, and they are pretty unconfortable when walking or running around in them too much. They dont have a lot of padding.
No, they give zero support. Converse are pretty much good for if you're driving or not on your feet.
Your shape is amazing! I voted no Converse because cross training shoes are better.
I personally Here, Dear, Set up a CONVERSE Store... NO MORE. lolxxoo
tight shoes like for jogging are better, especially for cardio
No - There's no bend to them. So you're more likely to trip. I switched from converse to Adidas. Or just some athletic shoes online cheap.
I wouldn't want to wear them, just because of the lack of padding and support that those shoes offer.
Converse are great for weightlifting, because they are flat there's good stability in them for squats and deadlifts
They are nice to wear but you should buy some nice trainers for the gym
any shoe will do. unless you're going on the treatmill a lot, then they are shit.
Go with a pair of Nike React, there comfortable and it has a flyknit breathable material.
No, the sole is not meant for work outs! Unless you want to mess up your feet and inner thighs.
I dont Think that converse shoes are good for gym at all.
