Tight defined calves and bulky quads. If you ride properly, the calves will be very tight and sharply cut. You should ride with the ball of your foot on the pedal, pressing downward with your foot on the down stroke. You should get flexion and extension of the ankle with every cycle. If you ride with the arch of your foot on the pedal, and don't press with the ball of your foot, then the calves will not be as cut. The quads tend to be more bulky rather than tight and cut. Although the lower quads just above the knee cap sholud be well shaped.Riding actually works most muscles in your body. When you pedal, you counter that with your core, shoulders and arms. It's asymmetrical so it works the X of the core.
It can. Don't expect changes overnight, but if you have the time, it's a great form of recreation. It IS problematic for commuting, as you get hot and sticky if you are really working at it, and let's face it, the Mormons in suits bicycling look silly.
Yes, any leg strengthening exercises will do that but bicycling is the most fun I think! :)
Omg, ok she more like a model than a biker hahah That body is killer
Holy fuck is that girl real
What does even [tight] reference means here? Cycling strengthens the thigh and calf muscles and empowers the development of those areas in terms of fitness and health. If that's what you mean, then hundred percent Yes.
Tight as in cramp up? Sometimes yes such as when I perspire all my minerals out and have not replaced them fast enough. Tight as in tone up? Yes. I also do other exercise so I am not just cycling. Weight train and I also hike.
Not really. My workplace is a 10 minute commute from my house, and I haven’t experienced any sort of thing.I don’t know if it has to be a longer bike ride though.
I do get a good bit of leg definition from the bike.
I'm not a routine cyclist, but my father is. His legs are strong and firm so it should help ladies too.
yes... just as the picture, muscley thighs and tight calf muscles too. its actually one of the best non impact exercises for all other muscle groups too and cardio vascular health
I love cycling! As long as I don't overdo it, cycling is helpful for my legs.
Absolutely! Cycling is a great sport but I hear it’s not healthy for the kidneys if done excessively (don’t know if that’s true).
Yeah. You should see Dutch women's legs. Oh my god... best lower bodies in the world.
It makes your legs bigger from muscle, depends on what look you are wanting
Makes your legs butt more tight and toned plus you get a good cardio workout as well I love it
Women who are cyclists have massive muscular thighs.
It's muscle, not fat.
@zoeadams3 I said they were muscular lol.
Makes your legs and butt tight and tones plus you get a great cardio workout as well. I live in New York we ride our bikes a lot because of traffic
Are you gonna take up cycling
Not only do they make your legs tight they add muscle to them and knock off all the fat
What do you mean? I think they make you thighs kind of thick.
Shame that only the legs will get tight if u know what i mean ;)
