Bilbo, for sure. Book was full of great characters though. But he was a big influence on me, you know, he really brought home the idea of the anti-hero. I was like, 6 years of age when I started getting into that book.

Is Bilbo even an anti-hero? He doesn't curse or attack people does he? I know he cuts his way out of Mirkwood but the alternative was pretty horrible.

No an anti-hero is a protagonist who doesn't fulfil the role of hero particularly well. Bungling adventurers and the like are common anti-heros. Bilbo didn't even want to go on any adventure.
