As a general measure of large populations it functions well, but can be very inaccurate for those outside the norm. If you are more muscular than average, your BMI will skew much higher. Vice versa for those with little muscle mass. Also those who are on the outside of the bell curve for stockyness or lankiness will find BMI inaccurate.

It is the bull$hit mass index because it does not take bone density, size and muscle mass in to account for the built. So the only true measure is % body fat by using calipers or a displacement density measurement. If you are average build, then bmi will mean something.

It's actually pretty accurate, most people don't think so because they go off looks, like some people think they are overweight but aren't their body doesn't look as toned as they think it should be, but I'd say it's pretty accurate tbh that's just my opinion
It doesn't determine everything.
What your weight consists of, is more important than what you weight, like if you're overweight according to it, but have a lot of lean muscle and a decent amount of body fat, then you're fine.BMI is okay for average people in average age.
For young girls or people with higher muscle mass is BMI often wrong.Yes BMI is bullshit even personal trainers think that of which I was one years ago.
Its true but also only a guide.
Its only as good as the person using it.I believe it is true. I came down from Obese to just Overweight. The system does have some merit.
I used to feel stuffed at 120lbs, meanwhile I feel hungry at 124lbs.
My scale had me around there too , but I’m jacked af.
Neither. It is just a rough guide.
