I’m too afraid to drive?

I have severe anxiety disorder and it’s hindered me from getting my license at almost 23! I’m a college student but I prefer to Uber or Lyft. I also have extreme social anxiety which causes me to have panic attacks while sitting in church, in class I panic and psychiatrist just say it’s anxiety and give me meds.
what can I do to start driving and we’re you afraid to drive or start late?

Get behind the wheel and try somewhere thats quiet and doesn't have lots of traffic. Also you have to try and relax. You'll be tense at first, but you'll ease into it. I've found that it helps to have someone to talk to during the drive because it takes your mind away from driving. Just keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel at all times.

You also shouldn't feel pressured. There's always alternatives and if you don't want to drive then that's cool. You don't have to if you don't want to.

No... I was never afraid. I fly jets fir a living though.

Start with a simulator. Gain confidence. Then work your way up from country roads to city ones.

It’s weird because when I was younger I had fears but they never hindered me. I was in plays , dance etc and in high school I flew planes and had flight training also but I was scared.

Accept death. Not in a "do something awful" way. Just be fine with death, then get comfortable with pain. It takes a LOT to make me anxious now.

i love driving but you have a medical disorder which i do believe isn't cureable so in short no you can't drive i am sorry

eh if ur on meds maybe just stick to the ubers n stuff. I'm 25 and i don't drive, fuck cars tbh they pollute and are expensive
