Would you have a voluntary surgery?

I'm supposed to have a voluntary thumb surgery tomorrow where they are going to cut open a little membrane sack thing that has no use, which is causing pain and stiffness when my tendon inflames. Its only supposed to last about 15 minutes. I can write again a few days after the surgery and will only be out of sports for about 1-2 weeks because of the stitches.

Would you do the surgery?

If it was causing me that much pain, I'd say it's worth it to get the surgery. Especially since it doesn't seem that dangerous and is a pretty simple procedure you can recover from fairly quickly.

Yes, if it's that noninvasive, could be a great help and recovery time is simple then I would be all for it.
