or is it good to be considered thick .
Being called "Thick" good thing or bad ??
or is it good to be considered thick .
What you have to consider is that this have completely different meanings when it comes to culture.
In the Black culture (and possibly Hispanic/Latino I'm not sure) "Thick" is used strictly as a compliment from the person using it. It means your body is extremely desirable, undeniably female. It doesn't mean fat, it means you have boobs, a butt, and some hips, and with a smaller waist in proportion. It's said with the same kind of attitude as hour-glass. Christina Hendricks is the perfect example, or America Ferrera, or Sara Ramirez. Those women are considered "thick."
I have never heard any White guy use "thick" unless they were dating a latina or black girl, or unless they were raised among those communities, in which case, they too would mean it as a compliment.
So don't listen to people below that it flat-out means fat, because that's inaccurate. The context changes everything.
It depends on the context. They could be saying you're toned and fleshed out, which a lot of people consider a good thing. Then again, it could also be a euphemism for fat. Also, it's possible they weren't referring to your body and were being all kinds of rude by calling you unintelligent and slow, which is another meaning of thick. It all depends on the situation, so I might be of more help to you if I knew what was going on, who said it, and how they said it.
To me it just means you have meat on your bones, wich is a good thing. You don't have to be overweight to have meat on your bones, as long as you got a shape on you, you're good girl! Think about Beyonce', she's thick. She's definately not skinny, because she maintains her curves and that's a good thing! Embrace the body that God gave you!
You're so very welcom! :) It's always a pleasure to help people the best way I possibly can, I'm glad I could help!
"Thick" means your body has some meat on it (as in prominent T&A, full hips & thighs), but is not overweight.
So unless you want to be very slender (as in mainstream runway models; Victoria Secret doesn't count imo)...thick is good. Don't let the media make you think that men ONLY like slender females. It's simply not true. :)
Depends, it could be a person's nice way of saying that you are too big for them or it could be a genuine compliment that says, "Not only do I like girls with some healthy thickness, but you fit into that standard of sexiness"...except it sounds less nerdy than that.

it's not an insult unless you think about it in the old/foreign way...when we talk about a girl that's thick it just means there's more there not like fat or anythin...take it as a compliment I know plenty of dudes who like girls that are like that, myself included
Thick is being toned, in shape, with curves and meat on your bones that isn't fat/jiggly.
Like Beyonce, she's thick, but she's also very toned, her thighs don't jiggle, but they are thick.
If you're not aiming to be thick, then it can be a compliment. I say it's neutral, it's as good or bad as you make it.
overall it's a compliment. thick and fat are 2 different things. thick means you got curves in the right places (boobs, ass, thighs, defined waist) but it doesn't mean you are jiggly with a gut. there are some people who think anything that's not thin and toned is fat, but someone with that opinion most likely would not use the word "thick", they'd probably say "bigger" or "chubby".
Thick how? Could mean they are calling you thick headed. Generally it's bad from what I've seen. Though I guess it depends on the context. I imagine a "thick cock" is a good thing :P haha. And some guys like "thick women" (physically) so ya. Context determines it.
I would consider it a neutral comment. I'm thick but I'm in great shape so it's not a comment on being fat or not. It's just simply that you're thicker than most from your back to your chest.

lol well if they're saying "thick" as in stupid/thick-headed, then yes that's bad
but if they're saying her body is thick, then that's a good thing. it's saying the girl has a well built body but she's not fat. she has curves and looks good/sexy.
by the way I immediately assumed the version of "thick" used here was the body type. I think it's weird that most people assume it's the "stupid" version of the word, I think everyone already knows about that term
ok yeah I just checked the original question and yeah obvious it's about the body type. how can other people here be such idiots to think she ever referred to "thickness" as in stupid?
Finally someone who says the real meaning!
Oh, and when people stay "Thick" = stupid it probably means they're European, Australian, etc because that's common to say in other places except here.
well I've been called fat and "thick enough to grab" I that good?
i think people have different definitions of it, some say being thick means a girl with thick thighs (like curvy basically).. but I know others that say thick is fat.
its not quite like fat but it means you're wide in some cases it could be like man shoulders instead of curvy. Thick isn't a very feminine attribute
Hun, bless ya, it means they are being nasty and rude by insinuating that you have a lack of matter in the grey mass that comprises of your brain.
WTF?
its a good thing its slang for she has a fat ass bottie
virtue
Nope not at all Fat is like Fat disgusting ewww lool
Thick is like nice ass thick so meat you know hips and thighs :)
I like thick but thin is good
being 5'6 and 105 lbs, size 2, that would be an insult to me
