Is being called thick really a compliment?

My friend and also this random guy called me thick the other day and I don't know how to take it.

Well, it depends on if it was meant as a compliment. And however you wish to take it. Typically it is, where I'm from at least. Personally, I've only been called 'thick' once or twice, by my friends, as sort of a joking way to say that I was curvy, haha. I sort of took it as a compliment...

But it just means you're curvy and voluptuous. I'd take it as a compliment. and _n

And also maybe take into account the guy or gal who said it. Their personality/attitude/tone, I mean. If they're a sleaze, then maybe understand that it was a compliment, but ew. The guy's a sleaze. Nasty. xD Just know that you're sexy! Everyone sexeh~~ :D

It depends on how they say it. If a guy looks you up & down, & says, "ooom, you're so thick," that means he thinks your hot. If a girl looks at you with a snobby expression & says, "You're kind of thick," then she's insulting you. But at the end of the day, what matters is how you feel about your body, not anyone else.

There is also the express, "You are so thick headed," & that is an insult also.

Depends on the context. If they mean it about you're body I think its a compliment- if they are talking about your intellect then its not a compliment :)

In the US it's a reference to body type, some prefer "thick" others don't. Take it for what it's worth.
