576 opinions shared on Other topic. Some females take it as offensive. But now a days when it comes to most guys and some females even its more of a "meme" and a joke of a compliment. As most of the time when the term Thicc is related to a man or woman its often times referring to thighs. In an attractive manner. Its mostly just crude humor that is just meant to get laughed at. Or jokingly pushed. Nothing serious or bad is meant to be taken by the comment.
And even if its used in a insulting tone. Its really just saying the truth that honestly those around you probably are sugar coating cause they are too worried about your feelings.10 Reply

Depends, if they was talking about your intelligence, then yes.
If they was talking about your physique, then no.10 Reply
+1 yDepends in which context it was about.
1. If you were talking about intelligence or something in relevance with intelligence, then "thick" would mean he was calling you dumb.
2. If the context was about weight or your body, then he was calling you either curvy. Typically referred to someone who has good assets.10 Reply
+1 yThick generally means stupid in the uk but thicc in the us means curvy, as in a compliment

Usually it is an insult, though there's a trend on the internet, especially among certain demographics, to use it as a positive. Sometimes, when used that way, it's spelled "THICC" and may be capitalized as such. In that case, it's probably not meant as an insult, but it does insult the intelligence of the actual person saying it.
In pretty much any other instance, it means the person is calling you overweight (they could mean slightly overweight or morbidly obese, depending on who is saying it) or stupid (sometimes called "thick-headed" - I remember the Mug root beer commercial with "Mr. Dumass" and the slogan at the end was "Sometimes it's good to be thick-headed")12 Reply- +1 y
@HereIbe Language is meant to connect people together by having common words and meanings for things. People shouldn't have to use UrbanDictionary to find out if the meaning of a word has changed - though I suppose in that aspect, the change in spelling in this case is helpful (however not everyone spells it that way). Personally I think certain changes are beyond unnecessary and are downright confusing. Maybe I just sound like Abe Simpson to you (from this sample size of 1 of uses of words that I don't particularly care for) but I don't take things that (comically) far.
Yes. In more ways than one. If someone calls you thick it is usually in reference to your size. you would literally have to be so overweight that you're even heavier than your male counterpart. That is not a good thing! Another way to identify it is being thick-headed. Also not a good thing! it means that information has a hard time penetrating your skull that you're slow to understand, and that you're ignorant as a result. it can also be perceived as someone claiming that you are being difficult, or unreasonable. All of which are definitely far from being compliments! So yes, it is an insult. And intend it as just thus. There is no camouflaging, or mistaking this kind of insult. It is not something that can be perceived as anything else, unless the person commenting is into BBW. Which most people are not. Hope this clarifies.
10 ReplyI think that maybe a better word is 'CUDDLY'!! I LOVE Cuddly ladies!! Nice, soft curves, NO RIBS OR HIP BONES!!! A great evening, is making something for dinner, together, and then cuddling on the couch, with a little blanket, and eating together, watching a movie!! Probably some 'girlie' movie, as I let her pick, but usually, it's fine, because I like some of those, when cuddling close with her!

+1 yFor body type. It more or less means curvy bigger person.
Since most people view curvy as a smaller frame person with wide hips and/or bust if they are a woman.
So depending on how you look and feel about it. It can be good or bad.
But it was meant as a good thing.10 Reply
+1 yThick spelled ‘thick’ means stupid and dumb so is definitely not a compliment. Thicc speller ‘thicc’ means voluptuous. It can be a positive thing or a negative thing depending on the tone of voice and how someone says it. Generally, it’s a compliment... but not always

+1 yWell, I guess that depends! If you mean thick, like "thick-headed", that's pretty rude.
BUT, if you mean thick as in round thighs and body, (Some people say "Thicc") that could sometimes be insulting, but if you hear that from me, take it as a compliment!10 Reply“Thicc” is a compliment for women, but if you mean it as you spelled it (“thick”) then yes, it’s an insult where I come from. It means stupid or retarded.
When I was in school, a brutal fight broke out between 2 classmates in the gym locker room, which was caused by one of them calling the other “thick” during an argument 😦10 Reply- 2.4K opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 yNot necessarily, some guys like thick. It is the opposite of thin, you know?
If you're fat then do something about it. If you're not then quit worrying about it and just rock whatcha got.
A curvy juicy woman is a delight. More cushion for the pushin'. ;)10 Reply
+1 yThick means being stupid in the UK: eg: Oi, are you thick in the head mate?
Or
The person could be referring to someone as Thicc (mind the spelling) which is probably a millenial way of calling a girl with a bit of weight on sexy. Eg: Damn girl, you thicc!10 Reply
+1 yThink could meet thick skulled like your hard to get though to.. communication wise.. if your thick physical.. you should be self aware n agnolage the other person gifted perception.. and find out what other uncanny observations he would like to declare..

+1 yFor your body type? I don't think so. I've only heard it used to describe women people find attractive.
For your mental faculties? Yes. That means you are thick skulled, obstinate and tedious to engage.10 ReplyDepends in what sense the person means it when they call you that. In the UK ‘thick’ can mean stupid (thick skulled), but it seems to be dying out recently since the term ‘thicc’ (curvy) has become popular, which is typically a compliment

+1 yYes it's slang for a 'dull' or 'stupid' person, usually only britts use this word to insult someone though. I guess the insult is based off the idea of having a thick skull that won't listen or care about anything, from this original metaphor.
10 Reply664 opinions shared on Other topic. depends on the manner in which it was used...
it can be another word that means stupid, fat of thick as in solid character or loyal
for example myself and my mate's friendship is thick as feck...
or that person is a thick feck... etc10 Reply
+1 yIt depends on the person like for me being called thick makes me feel good but for other woman it may feel like a insult, but whatever way you take it isn't wrong cause that's you're opinion

+1 yWhat would you rather be called: Fat, Sow, Whale, Cow, Big Boned, Over Weight, Heifer, Big Block, or Thick? As long as your SO calls you Beautiful none of the other labels matter.
10 ReplyIt’s a compliment. If someone calls you thick then they think you have good looking curves. If they wanted to insult your weight then they’d call you fat, not thick.
+1 yNot being called fat is. Thick means that your curvy but in all the right places. Could be your ass, tits, or thighs. As long as you dont get called bbw or average build than your fine

+1 yIt usually means someone is complimenting a girl's body or they're calling the girl thick as in she's dumb.
10 Reply In England or any of the commonwealth, yes. It means you're stupid.
In America or in the context of "thicc" rather than thick, no it's not an insult. I think it's a good thing. However the line is blurred.10 Reply
+1 yNo not if they didn’t mean it like that. Who knows maybe they like it and that’s their type they go after. Why would it be negative.

+1 yDepends on the person.
Ask them if think overweight women are unattractive?
If they say no its a insult.
Also ask them to define overweight and thick.
If the answers are same then definitely its a insult.00 Reply - 943 opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 yDepends on what they are referring to. If they say you're thick headed, that's totally an insult. If they mean your weight and not your overall shape, also an insult. Thick isn't really a solid insult, but not everyone would take it so well.

In regards to looks... Some people do. Look up THICC on UrbanDictionary. Though even if someone meant it that way, which could be considered a compliment... should you really be dating someone that thinks THICC is a good way to compliment someone? I don't think most people talk that way, though (even teens specifically).
