American's call flavoured drinks pop aswell? I thought that was a word older people used here, I thought they were 'sodas' over there?

My favorite drink is Ribena (blackcurrant cordial, not really a fan of fizzy drinks, make me bloated) closely followed by mixed summer fruits flavoured cordials (blackcurrant, black/rasberries, apple, pear)

It depends on who you ask on what it is called. Some call it pop others soda in southern US Coke is what all beverages like that are called. I once asked for a coke and they asked what kind and listed all the soft drinks they had.

I like nearly all soda but 'Vanilla Coke' and 'Mountain Dew - Code Red' take the cake! Er... soda.

When I first read this question, I was thinking, "This person must be from Chicago or at least Illinois." Sure enough, you are. :] lol By the way, I'm from Chicago and shame on the people who feel the need to correct the way we say pop.

Anyway, my favorite is Pepsi. Someone mention Baja Blast and I like that, too.

No...I said at least Illinois. I'm not sure if anywhere else in the Midwest uses pop, but I've been told by friends who have visited Texas, D.C., etc that they don't know what pop is referring to.
