Why don't men have a male equivalent to a gynecologist?

Honestly, I would be more comfortable talking to a doctor that specializes in the male reproductive system than I would my primary doctor (who doesn't do a pelvic exam). I just think it would be easier discussing testicular issue, prostate issues and even things like a vasectomy with just one person. That's just my thought. What do you all think?

I know men can go to a urologist, but we only go when there's an issue, not for an annual checkup.

I thought males did. But perhaps it’s because females are able to give birth and sometimes the monthly cycle can be interfered with so there are more health issues females could have when it comes to that area.

We get yearly health exams, but many doctors don't do pelvic exams. Mine for example does not.

There is there called andrologist, I think the issue is more about how it’s not common knowledge I would say and it’s not something that’s pushed to guys even though it of course is very important.

Yup I agree. Prostste cancer is prevalent in my family and I wouldn't mind being screened for it at this age. I don't want to ask my doctor for one given the nature of the examination. I don't want fo be weird for asking. I also don't do testicular exams on myself. I don't know what to look for. I don't know it would just be easier to hsve a yearly check up.

No, but they specialize in the female reproductive system. You go to them yearly for check-ups. Men don't get that. We only go to the urologist if there's an issue. We don't get yearly pelvic exams like women do.

Yh my parents are really old and they said their doctors have stopped seeing them as well.. basically they've like cut the service and only see you if you are dying then put you down for the virus... Wtf

Yes they do handle some issues and I have been to one once. We typically only go to them when we have an issue. My doctor won't even do an exam on me.
