Is it weird to prefer a male gynecologist?

I've had bad experiences with females so now I will only go to male doctors unless none are available. Is this weird or no?

No it’s your preference, I’ve had bad experiences with male gynecologists and prefer a younger woman. I say younger because I’ve been gaslit by older female doctors too many times to try and find another one.

It's not weird. For many years, it was also my choice. For now, I have a female gynecologist because I needed a doctor with a specific specialization and she was the best :D

We all know doctors don’t care and are used to seeing naked people of the opposite sex, it’s just business for them. But just cuz they know it dosent mean we’re used to it, the only time we’re naked infront of someone of the opposite gender usually is when a sexual activity involved. Your one of those that that really can get passed the sexual part probably due to desperation with the experiences. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so spread your legs for him.

@JohnK123 you are assigned a doctor but usually rarely get to see them unless you don't mind booking an appointment which is weeks away. Actually just seeing a doctor at all is hard these days! You fill in a online form. Wait 24 or 48 hours for a random doctor to phone you. Then they will ask to see you only if they think it is really really necessary.

Oh that sounds bad. For america we make appointments once a year for check ups… maybe that’s just for guys my age lol I don't know anything else. But ya do u like going to the doctors

@JohnK123 I have an American friend. Its my understanding you pay health insurance? Or get that as a perk with a job? And yes it makes sense to get a yearly check up. It sure looks that way in the movies too lol. I don't think anyone enjoys going doctors? Unless you in pain or worried so seeing them helps!

Depends on the job like some restaurants give health stuff but it’s mainly from insurance company payments. Before I turned 14 I liked doctor visits as long as I never got shots but I haven’t liked them since. Can u follow me backkkk

My wife has always preferred a female, but I know my own mother has a male gynecologist. I think professionalism, and who their friends recommend really has the biggest impact on who women choose to see.

It's okay. The bad experience was traumatic and has made me not trust doctors in general but if I have to go then it's easier for my doc to be a male

Gotcha and I understand. I once had a (female) doctor tell me to not have kids. I have a bone condition and she told me that I “wouldn’t want to pass it along to them.” 🙄 I never went to her again.

Yeah. Also, when she was doing my Pap smear, I was obviously uncomfortable. She asked did I experience pain during intercourse. It was in my chart that I was a virgin. She was just one of doctors that didn’t listen. 🤦🏾‍♀️

I mean if you have better experiences with male gynecologists then female ones then it's probably better to go to a male one that way it just makes the whole process smoother for both people.

Nah. My urologist is female. The male ones all dismissed all my concerns, my current urologist is much more thorough and listens better.

I guess if you were to be bisexual. It might not bother you so much to have a female poking around down there! Up to you whichever doctor makes you feel comfortable.

There is nothing wrong with having such desires. As a woman of desire and fertility, it is expected for you to show your poosay to as many elligible men as possible. If I were a woman, I would rather show my poosay to a man as well.
