These books should give you an idea of what the mainstay of the foods we should eat are.

Outside of that I recommend meditation and some kind of healing system like yoga, tai chi, etc.

I mean, there's gonna be no easy answers to this, clearly. However, it's important to set the right kind of context for healing, usually by dramatically changing one's lifestyle and orientation.

I eat generally olive oil, mushrooms, salad, kale, some fruits and sometimes fish, yogurt, cheese on occasion

If that were me, I'd get all of my levels of the key minerals up, as well as a few other molecules to help the body. For example iodine, selenium, D3, K2, magnesium and organic sulfur. Camu camu, and moringa leaf powder would be on that list too. Liposomal vitamin C and glutathione too..(not to be confused with standard supplements).

I also suggest you read the 'The DMSO Handbook for Doctors
by Archie H. Scott (Author)'.

What I've mentioned barely touches the surface. Do not expect a Doctor to do anything because they are only trained on how drugs interact with the body, not how to heal.

The flu didn’t have respiratory effects like Covid it’s much more like pneumonia if I had to compare Covid to any other disease I’ve had

Definitely look into "navage" or other nasal flushers like "neti pots", decongestants, and air filters. Part of, most of, (in fact, perhaps all of) why you can't taste or smell is because your sinuses are plugged up.
