Yeah done all sorts of frankly stupid shit due to depression, it’s not like you have a huge control over things at the time.
also lockdown sort of made things a chore as nothing changed day to day, and you would get in to a rut, which your depression would then exploit, rather self fulfilling things a positive feedback loop

I had some time off work and my SO had to go out of town once. Because COVID, I knew I would not be around anyone really, so I thought this would be funny so I didn't bath for like 6 days. got a nasty jock rash about 5 days later that was painful and took 2 weeks of cream to get rid of it. My advice: Avoid!!!
Very fortunately I haven't, I've always found showering to be the most revitalising and refreshing wakeup call you can have.
When you start neglecting your basic hygiene practices such as showering or brushing your teeth its time to seek some help.

I've never been depressed, but would I be I highly doubt I'd abstain from showering. I'd feel too dirty not doing it.
That seems like a helluva split. I always said half the population is depressed. Shit, though.
Sometimes there’s just 0 motivation for anything to be honest.
There was a time I was so depressed i barely left bed, let alone showered; it was a pretty bad time in my life.
