Weird mucus ball from nose?

The last day between my nose and throat have felt like there was a pressure in it. I kept making my self cough and blow my nose to relive it. Well I just blew it really hard and a huge sticky ball of mucus came out I blew so hard my ear drums popped. Has anyone experienced mucus this bad before. I don’t have a runny nose or any other symptoms.

We have pockets that sit on either side of the nose. When we get sick with an upper respiratory infection with bacteria those pockets tend to full up with pus and infection. Those pockets I speak of are called turbinates and their sole purpose is to regulate outside air that we breathe and either cool it down or warm it up. The picture is of a bad upper respiratory infection, I had. This happened after I chewed some spearmint gum. I kept blowing and blowing then my ears opened up like yours did. I needed an antibiotic to get well. However yours isn't as yellow and green as mine was so I doubt you need an antibiotic. Just keep your nose blown and stay super hydrated.

Sometimes we might laugh, sneeze or cough while eating. In those cases, food can be forced up into our nasal passages. If we don't clear it out quickly, it sits there and mucus forms a cocoon around it. If you cut it open, you may find a piece of food.

There was nothing in it, I checked to make sure before posting. It was super weird because it would snapped back to ball form after I was looking through it.

That is mucus, if you are a smoker or if you vape just expect it to get worse or it can also be a sign of a lung disease or virus

I know it’s mucus I’ve never had mucus come out like this. I don’t smoke, vape, do drugs or drink.

Then perhaps look for a similar problem on google and see if you can self diagnose yourself with something

I couldn’t find it on google figured I’d ask her since it’s night where I’m at and regular dr are closed, I know it’s not Er worthy.
