I mean I had heard and read many Pro vaxxers some few deays ago start believing in some of the anti vaxxers theories about the new variant beause it is like starting all over again the cycle restriccions, borders closing again, possible lock downs business closing, economy possible going down again when the economy is beginning to rise a little bit now, etc etc. So these pro vaxxers I had heard on the news and read on the internet say that ths new variant looks like each countrys governmetn wants again to manipulate and give fear to the population and the pharmaceuticals want people to never be healthy and want everyone to contineu to be sick so they can earn more money in developing vaccines that is the way they work anyway that is how socialism works. So these people who firmly believes in the vaccines say that something is not adding up or matching up with this new virus variant, something is fishy, being called extremely dangerous,. I mean that not even the current vaccines may be effective I even read. SO why being vaccinated and have some sort of shield protectiion then if the current vaccines do not work? The lady who discover this variant in South Africa I read that the symptoms are mild, but then I read that the WHO and other organizations are stating the variant is more dangerous than Delta and we h ave to eekp taking care of ourselves a little bit more, so it seems the WHO always giving negative news to the world and wants to inflict terror and fear again so who is telling the truth.

The Moderna president I read some minutes ago on the internet had stated that the current vaccines may not be effective against this new variant. One more time the pharmaceuticals are running against time possible to develop the new vaccine possible for this new variatn if the current ones we already have may not be effective.

So what are your thoughts about this? Are you a pro vaccine but starting to think the anti vaxxers may had been right in some way of their theories ( Im stating here

some of the anti vaxxers theories not all) abouu fear, manipulation, vaccine experiments money business, etc etc It is not possible the world can't get rid of this virus if we have a better techonology in medicne and science than many many years ago and in those old days virus were erradicated in some way some of those viruses and money business were also present back then. I’m pro vax, got my initial doses in January/February, and boosted this month. There are pros and cons to the vaccines. I work in ICUs, have for the past year and a half, and have not contracted the virus. As of now, 55 of 57 patients in my last ICU are unvaccinated. The numbers show the vaccines have worked.

The vaccines have gotten less affective over time. This is unsurprising. First, the virus has been mutating. The current vaccines fight a virus that existed in January of 2020. The vaccines are 2 years old, and probably reaching the point where they’re outdated. Similar to flu shots, we’re probably expecting an annual, variant adjusted booster. However, even with this being the case, the vaxxes have largely been shown to prevent hospitalizations and death, even if there’s a breakthrough case. I worked at my most recent hospital, and can probably count the death of vaccinated on two hands, while there have been hundreds of unvaccinated deaths.

Regarding this omicron variant, it’s time to stop watching MSM news and take a breather. It’s early, and even vax makers don’t know much. It is likely that the vaxxes will be less effective, but it is highly unlikely that they won’t be effective at all. The key to ending the pandemic is to prevent hospitalizations and death…not preventing cases. Thus far, vaxxes have been pretty successful in doing so.

Personally, I’m hopeful. If this variant only causes mild symptoms, even if it is very contagious and causes vaccines to be less effective, that’s a good thing. I don’t care if you get a cough or the sniffles. I do care if you need a ventilator.

In regard to the theories of anti-vaxers, they have every right to their beliefs and I’ll even respect them. Many of them have legitimate concerns. But I believe what it takes is for the virus to hit home. I’ve met aloooooot of people about to go on vents begging for the vaccine. They were against it. Conservative media gave them concerns. They didn’t like that the government was telling them what to do. All of that is fine, but then when they’re about to go under, perhaps conscious for the absolute last time, they find themselves regretting or questioning their decisions.

The virus has hit home to me. I’ve seen the outcomes and risks of the virus and the vaccine. I’m molded by my experience, just like those against it are molded by their experiences, or lack thereof. And no, I’m not concerned about the new variant. No sense in panicking about something I can’t control, and I refuse to watch liberal media that tells me that the world is ending and shutdowns are coming, when that is most likely false.

Because viruses mutate. There have been mutations occurring in every country. They just pick certain ones to create panic about. This one is to scare you dupes into getting boosters.

With the rate of new infections it was only a matter of time until we help the natural selection to produce a new and more resistant variant of the virus - the only question was how will this mutation manifest.
In every host the virus randomly mutates. Most of these mutations are harmless or even disadvantageous for the virus so they just disappear. However there is a small chance that the mutation randomly occurs in something that would grant the virus some advantage over the normal variant, whether bypassing vaccine (mutation of the structure of surface proteins), causing more harmful multiplication (some virus lifecycle regulator), or by spreading more.
And with every new host, the chance of such mutation slowly rises (purely based on statistics and the fact that the chance of something "never happening" slowly decreases with the number of repetitions).

Because when two things (virus variants) both use the same doors (the way they multiply inside humans), the one with better spreading will gradually push away the other (first comes, firsts serves). And if this new variant has the potential to become dominant variant (most new cases) then it makes sense to shift the focus here (just like firefighters will stop pouring water on smaller flames to extinguish larger ones that started spreading on "yet not burning" part of ground).

One country can barely govern its self, it would surprise me if there was some over arching entity able to pull all these strings. Conspiracy theories happen because people just can't accept how vulnerable they are and susceptible to being killed, look at various famous people who die, quite often is some theory that they never died or were killed in an orchestrated hit and not just some random bad luck or gun man...

As for this variant, the answer is we dont know how it effects people at the moment so any evidence is coming out. Science evolves the more we know, and that factor alone often makes anti vaxxers fire up as they dont really understand that concept

I live in Costa Rica a democratic country but our current president is acting like we are a socialist country and citizens are sick of our president blame him and the health secretary for this virus and they say they want to control the citizens the vaccines dont work is all abouyt money manipulation and control and this is just like any other flu virus period

I have been vaccinated for 6 months. I got the two dose Moderna vaccine. I am taking a wait and see attitude about booster shots. Also a wait and see attitude about Omicron. I will take my chances.
