Honestly I’m trying to travel overseas to see my girlfriend and two years is enough! We FaceTime and do phone calls 24/7, we bought VR to play VRChat because that’s the closest we can currently get to see each other and cuddle. It’s not a bad thing at all and I’m happy we got what we have to make this all possible, but I want to travel and I just want this Covid shit to end! I don’t care what the vaccine does, I got it and even the booster just so I can fly over, but now that’s just not good enough.
Most of you people can’t just stay in your house for 14 days!!! That’s two fucken weeks! Is it really that bad? Apparently most of you cry about it and say “we can’t, it’s bad for the economy”. Well guess what? Most of you who refused fucked it up even more!
Then about this human rights and bullshit. As if 14 days is going to completely fuck up your human rights! I’m not blaming politics because the real blame is most of the retarded people for crying and letting this shit happen! The government already gave up on two weeks of ordering us to stay home and asking you to wear masks in public. What makes you think they’re going to successfully take you down?
Then a bunch of dumb shits who do “Covid parties” to see who gets it and then some die from it. I’m happy some countries like Australia is setting a huge fine on peoples asses who have it and go and spread it! Serves them fucking right for putting people at risk and slowing this shit down more!
Then the conspiracy theorist freaks thinking that it’s the rich people’s doing. Well guess what, if we all worked together for just 14 fucking days they wouldn’t be profiting off this virus like they are now! You’re literally helping them make bank by being an inconsiderate retarded fuck!
Then people think masks don’t work. Not if you’re standing close to people, then surely no! Most of you fail to realize that’s truly effective if you wear it AND stand six feet apart or more. “I can’t breathe” no you’re just a little bitch. Probably out of shape too. If surgeons can operate on you for hours with a mask and not die from suffocating then you can too!
Then the dumb shits who think the government is tracking us through a microchip in a vaccine. You’re already being tracked on your phone!!! Ads track you! Social media tracks you! What the hell is so important about you that the government needs to watch 24/7? There’s more problems in the world and much bigger fish to fry!
I don’t care what the recovery rate is. Two years of this shit is long enough! It took some troops forever to get home because you idiots! My cousin just finally made it home from where he was stationed and missed Christmas twice! He’s blaming the American citizens and I don’t blame him for doing so! You’re letting our own troops down! Very patriotic of you! Now we have this Omicron shit to deal with. Guess what’s coming? Our two year anniversary of our two week lockdown!
It gladdens me to know that we as a species are fucking retarded. When something bigger like a doomsday virus comes out which seems unlikely, we’re truly fucked! Congratulations and happy fucking new year! A third year of this bullshit is already a fulfilled prophecy. Keep it up you clowns!
Fancy the "protected" needing protection from the "unprotected" by forcing the "unprotected" to take the same "protection" that failed to protect the "protected."
I'm not gonna encourage anyone to put those AIDS worms or cyborg venom into their veins. I know from experience that masks don't really protect me from jack squat.
I got a seasonal flu in December of 2019, and was basically Superman through 2020. In 2021, it took a bacterial infection in my herniated navel before I went out in search of medical assistance. And later, a stye in my eye.
Delta, first wave, didn't touch me. I didn't test positive for the fungus-induced exosome until after I'd been around a coworker who is triple-gene rape jab-injected.
So she thinks (like StupidFruitAss below) that she's doing the world a favor. But she's really now just a spike protein factory. And it only took a few minutes being around her before I became very sick.
The first hour after I got home, I felt like I had meningitis. As that faded away, the fake meningitis gave way to imitation African sleeping sickness. And now I feel like I'm on the Oregon Trail. At least the fever has subsided, and I can think and walk straight.
Pro vaccine and pro mask. 😅💉😷
• Reason why?
Well, they taught that if I'm able to get the vaccines it's the better to get so, thus avoiding passing covid-19 on someone else and decrease my chances of death if I ever get covid. And the masks helps to protect the others and myself😅
My opinion isn't nothing proved nor scientific but only what my teachers and parents said to me, so I only got vaccinated cuz I'm able to and don't mind getting vaccinated.
P. S.: But I respect and understand if u don't agree with me! ^^
I'm pro businesses having the right to enforce dress codes, and pro business having vaccine requirements as they have had for literal decades.
Literal decades? Do you have any idea how unintelligent that sound?
do you have any idea how much I don't care what a random person on GaG thinks about my intelligence?
The power of the government to mandate vaccination has long been recognized by the Supreme Court. In the landmark 1905 case of Jacobson v. Massachusetts, the Court upheld an ordinance in Cambridge, Massachusetts, that required all adult citizens to be vaccinated against smallpox in the wake of an epidemic. The court found that notwithstanding the Constitution’s guarantee of liberty, every person may be subject to “manifold restraints” when needed “for the public good.”
Hospitals, schools, day cares, emergency workers, the military and many other careers choices have required vaccines for decades. Employer mandated vaccines are not new.
Other than public schools and hospitals specifically for their staff I can't think of anybbusinesses that were given the right to require vaccinations of anyone. And taking those two businesses out of the list. When did any business in history ever have a right to ask you for medical information?
@Diodoro never. She’s full of shit
@Diodoro well the military for one, vaccines are required to be EMTs and Paramedics and Nurses. I believe police officers are too.
@Diodoro The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is often inaccurately cited by those arguing that places of business can’t require customers to show proof of vaccination.
Federal law doesn’t restrict private businesses from asking for proof of vaccination, although some states may pass their own laws on the issue.
HIPAA, generally, applies to healthcare plans and healthcare providers, not grocery or other stores.
Asking someone to show proof of vaccination constitutes neither “protected health information” under HIPAA nor disability-related information under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Considering that schools and day cares have been requiring proof of vaccines for a long time
"Can a Business Ask for Proof of Vaccination?
Subject to state laws, businesses can ask for customers to demonstrate proof of vaccination, but – due to laws such as ADA – cannot flatly refuse to provide a service to the customer if they cannot prove their vaccination status. Instead, if a customer has not been vaccinated or refuses to disclose their vaccination status, businesses can require the customer to wear a mask or can organize an outside delivery of their purchase. If the customer refuses to agree to the compromise, businesses can then refuse to provide a service on health and safety grounds.

do what makes you feel comfortable.
Now they are finding out that masks, vaccines and the booster are not as effective as first thought.
Covid is a derivative of SARS, and it continues to morph into something else.
That is why there has never been a vaccine for that because it is constantly changing.
By the time they develop a vaccine for that it has already become something else and the vaccine is useless against it.
Same with COVID, it is now in its 4th variant and the vaccine was for the first or second variant.
We currently have 10 people out from our department.
Most are fully vaxed & boosted.
Our flu like symptom calls are running 50-50 with vaxed and nonvaxed patients.
The largest trauma center & hospital for kids in our area normally runs about 10 healthcare workers a day out sick.
Earlier this week they had over 100 call in sick.
Those are people that are fully vaccinated and have had their booster shots.
So it is beginning to look like it may not matter if you are vaxed or wear a mask.
In fact the government has now come out and said cloth masks do not work, and now leaving it up to the states to do what they want to do.
Some of that could possibly be due to the midterm elections coming up, so they can distance themselves from what is going on.
I pretty much doubt that they will ever come out and say that the vaccine is really ineffective.
They have too much invested in it to ever admit that they were wrong.
Have doctors and other Healthcare workers in my family completely disagree with you. Also a friend that works inside a big hospital that does reporting on icu beds etc. Breakthroughs are happening yes... The ones who are being hospitalized and intubated are mostly unvaccinated. The vaccines are preventing hospitalization and death at a much higher rate than unvaccinated and it's tiring how far gone from reality people are from accepting this. When you know someone that has died of this it's easier to snap back into reality. 800k + dead just here in the US.
You're incorrect with masks too. Your word play with articles you're reading is interesting because what they're finding is that cloth masks aren't good enough. Kn95 and N95 masks are recommended and are proven to be extremely effective if worn properly. Also 50% (observational guesstimate) of people wearing masks im stores by me have them around their chin or off their nose because it's too difficult for adults to understand how to wear a mask.
I don't want to argue with you and I wish you and your family to be safe and not see what I have.
@Friendlybro79 We get our information right from our medical control doctor.
He has no political agenda.
Also, the numbers do not lie.
Maybe it is different where you are, but I just told it like it is here.
I have lost a couple of friends during the first go round, it was linked to covid.
Sorry you do not like the facts as told, you may feel free to get yours from any source that has the information that fits your beliefs.
I am out there every day, people are not calling us because they feel good. Our department set a new record for calls last year, that number was reached in the beginning of October, we blew right past last year's number and never looked back.
We are working 48s as well as recalls on our off day.
As far as masks go, I'm sure you are an expert on using one.
I'm thinking that you put on sterile gloves every time you put one on from a sterile package and then dispose of those gloves properly.
You never touch the outside of the mask with your bare hands never touch your mouth, lips, nose, eyes with your hands if you do handle or touch the outside of the mask, you have had a fit test to make sure the mask you are using provides adequate protection, and when you remove your mask you once again put on a pair of sterile gloves, remove the used mask and dispose of it properly along with the gloves then wash your hands and use an approved antibacterial on your hands.
I'm sure your mask does not get reused ever, you never touch the outside of the mask with your bare hands, you do not put it in a pocket, wear it on your arm, put it up on your forehead or the cloth one like a bandana around your neck.
You seem to know everything about it so I'm sure you would never do anything like what was listed above.
The world needs more experts like yourself.
Thank you for setting things straight!
After doing this for 39 years I still do not know everything.
@Fireguy17 i can see I hit a sore spot with you andt didn't mean to. I'm in New York and I am getting my information from family doctors, PA's, nurses and a friend who's a scientist working im vaccine research.
It sounds like you have experience regarding what you're talking about but if it matters to you I'm not interested in alternative news sites for the sake they might align with what I want to be or believe to be true.
What I think is irrelevant because i am not am expert. Things are changing like you said but what numbers are you referring to?
Reality as per CDC... If you don't believe these numbers from the CDC then I don't know what to say.
The vaccine is working.
All cases:
unvaxxed 5x more likely to get infected
Unvaxxed 13x more likely to die
As per masks, I wear N95s now that I can get them. I wash my hands and sanitize before wearing one and toss after one use. I don't fidget because I'm aware not to. I'm also not wearing them all day so that makes it easier. Your clinical approach to wearing and fitting a mask is 100% correct. Your innuendo that if you touch it slightly while in use will render it completely useless which isn't true. I'm actually not sure what you're getting at. Are you saying we don't need to wear masks because no one uses them correctly and don't get vaccinated because the new variant is different? Or something else?

I'm anti-mandate.
As for how much good either one is doing, that's open for debate. The vaccines are obviously not nearly as effective as was claimed - especially considering the oringal claims were deceptive. The effectiveness of masks is vastly over rated. Whatever good they do is obviously very minimal.
This entire thing has been handled extremely poorly. Granted they knew almost nothing about it in the early days, and knowledge is still in it's infancy. But why such drastic actions for something they knew so little about? And why make such a huge deal out of this virus when all the things that killed, injured, or made people sick in the past didn't have anywhere near the same kind of reaction?
Why wear masks today, but not five years ago? Why shut everything down today and totally wreck the economy, and not do the same five years ago? It's totally out of proportion in comparison to all the other dangers out there.
I’m neither pro or anti mask or vaccine.
Lol, people can do what they want and what works for them.
I agree with that
Do you mean if I want to do whatever I want I can and should have no consequences?
@Friendlybro79 Sure, however you want to put it.
What I’m basically saying is, people can choose to wear a mask, get vaccinated, or not do any of that… Every choice has a consequence, everyone is responsible for their actions. For example, if work requires masks and vaccines, the person refuses, and the job fires them… That means their choice had a consequence. We all have a right to choose, and so does the business. People can do what works for them - Their choice.
Do you understand?
Thanks for replying.
I am against double standards - we can't have personal freedom without personal responsibility for our actions.
We do have laws that punish endangerment/kills by negligence (hitting pedestrian by car, starting fire by throwing cigarette away, infecting someone with HIV,...). Then why not have something similar with covid and other future pandemics? If someone is negligent and purposefully ignores basic protection rules (mask) then fine, let them do as they want ONLY if they also will be held responsible for anyone they potentially infect (by paying all their medical bills, lung trauma fee,...).
I got the vaccine just because of my line of work. I use a mask during peak sickness months when I go to the store or crowded places. I’m currently pregnant so I’m making sure to be extra protective. I don’t care if people choose to wear a mask or not and the same goes with the vaccine. It’s a personal CHOICE.
I am D, pro mask and pro vaccine! I'm sorry there are so many dunderheads in this world that just spend their lives being naysayers. The true proof lays in the hospital CCU's where those with the vaccine might be sick most all are going home, where those who refused the vaccine are the ones leaving the hospital in a body bag.
I’m for both however I got vaccinated so I’m not wearing a mask anymore. I’ve had all three Pfizer vaccinations at CVS. not immunocompromised and I had friends pre pandemic but now I don’t so I’m looking for friends again. Moving down south where people will be less chicken so I’m not in solitude anymore and wanting to die
@LightOfTruth ok. Whatever ya say conspiracy theorist
Pro informed consent.
Rather than one 'faction' (with obvious vested interests) controlling the debate, access to information etc, I'd rather have both sides of the debate with an equal open space debating the validity, risks and benefits of all policies.
However, they couldn't do that with masks or vaccines, because if people knew the truth they wouldn't take them.
Pro-choice and anti-mandate. It should be up to the individual.
I'm not against them, I'm against mandates, authoritarianism, and the creepy pushy culture around it.
My policy, is if you want me to wear a mask or get a vaccine then advertise it to me, and ask nicely, maybe I'll get it, maybe I won't. Don't get pushy, and I'll make a decision about if I feel like wearing a mask or if the vax is right for me. If there's mandates and restrictions then we're gonna have a problem.
Seems to be the feeling everywhere. On New Year's Day, a dude in Australia just self-immolated while screaming "no vax ID" and the like.
I am for go what makes you comfortable. I don't care if you got the vaccine or want to wear a mask. Knock yourself out if you do. However one should not be ostracized or made out to be bad people or pariahs because of a decision regarding one's health.
I'm not pro or against masks and vaccines. Their use is just something that happens, and I don't see the point of being pro or against. The advantages of vaccination are largely superior to possible side effects, while masks are in the worst case only annoying... Maybe I'd give vaccination priority, and thus in case of doubt I'm happy to get a vaccin, in case of any disease by the way is a vaccine is available ;0)
I am pro mask simply because people have horrible breath. Pro vax up until they started mandating free and law biding citizens be forced to choose between personal freedom or the right to earn a living. You hear that kids? "Bend the knee or Die on the streets." Say what you will about past administrations but at least you still had a say in the matter.
None of the options fit my answer. I'm definitely anti-mask. They are just a nuisance and do not work. I am not anti-vax as I have the vaccine myself, but I do believe the vaccine should be a choice, not a mandatory requirement for anything. Even if I had a business with 100+ people, I would not enforce Biden's mandate. Instead, I would turn anyone above the 99th person into a "volunteer" and pay them for their "expenses" if you know what I mean.
My policy is that it should be up to the individual to decide, based on their understanding of the evidence, whether they should get vaccinated and/or wear a mask. I don't support government mandates, although a company can make its own set if rules.
Pro vaccine, anti mask.
I've no problem with either provided they're not mandated. Everyone's going to get Covid, and most of us are going to be absolutely fine.
If you want everyone masked forevermore despite almost everyone being vaccinated, you can't really call yourself pro vaccine.
The mask protects others more than it protects yourself. A fully vaccinated person may have COVID, with or without symptoms, and a mask limits their exposing others.
@AviatorTom That's all very true. Well, maybe. I live in a country where we had no mask mandates for much of last year and yet our infection rates were well below countries that were enforcing them very strictly, everywhere.
But if the people you're trying to protect are also fully vaccinated (whatever that means these days) then what are you protecting them from, unless the vaccine is no good. You won't prevent spread, ultimately it's going to happen whatever and with Omicron being a bit of a damp squib (at least here) that might even be a good thing. I genuinely wonder where people believe it will end, or do we all wear masks forever "just in case"?
I currently am undecided on whether the vaccines are more helpful or more harmful.
I believe that wearing a medical mask helps protect the people around you from breathing in the virus particles that you may breathe out. (Though it's also important to stay 6 feet apart, keep indoor areas well ventilated, and clean and sanitize surfaces frequently, as well as washing and sanitizing your hands.)
Masks can be hard to wear for long periods of time especially if you have to talk a lot at work, still you should try to wear them if you are out in public. I have no sympathy for those opposed to vaccines. Even Trump got vaccinated. It is just a little prick, if you are an adult you should handle it like one.
I am pro-mask as long as it is approved by the clan structure that I belong to and the person wearing a mask is aware that to wear a mask otherwise is considered international fraud due to the progenitor clan creating the concept of the mask that lead to the concept of face in many Asian cultures.
