I got straight As and my grandma said I gained weight?

At my university I got straight As last semester and I showed her. All she could say is that I gained a little bit of weight. Wtf I’m literally 150 pounds and 6 ft tall. I’m very slim. Why would she say something so negative when I tried to show her my straight As?

It's a form of toxicity partly based on the 7 deadly sins. Instead of seeing it as an inspiration, they see envy and that comes from unresolved issues from their own childhood or past.

@DesiUwU Yes, but not impossible. When ever they say something negative you can say 'I rebuke that and will not allow that in my life' You can say that each time they do it and repeat the same in a calm voice.

Back when family did the same to me, and bearing in mind it was one of the 7 deadly sins. What I would say each time the family member tried to put me down, or express jealousy was 'In Jesus name I rebuke Satan' and then I would say 'I do not allow that in my life' then they would try to discredit Jesus and I would simply repeat the same until they stopped, or went away.

So you can try either and then they know you will not allow it in your life.
