I've been smoking since I was about 17, just to be cool. Then I married a functional alcoholic. Yes I also drank in my 20's but I was a social drinker. In '18 I broke my ankle at a TLC/En Vogue concert cuz I was so wasted.. I said fuck it, no more. My Grandma and her sister died of lung cancer and now my mother is on an O2 tank at 68 years old. I know many alcoholics and crackheads also. The best thing to do is NOT SMOKE. It's a slow killer. Alcoholics and junkies die fast. If I'm gna keep smoking, I'll prolly live til I'm 80, but w/an O2 tank. My dad was a drunk, smoker, and pill popper. He just died last year at 64 years old.

+1 yI would say smoking is more of a hazard to the individual health wise. It's been shown that the effects of even one cigarette are immediate (although not irreversible at that stage) while alcohol either takes a large amount at once, or a continued amount over a longer period to be detrimental or fatal.
However the impairment effects of alcohol can make someone a danger to other people, such as drink driving, heightened temper or increased aggression.00 Reply
+1 yThey are both bad and both ruin one or more organs, smoking can give lung, mouth, gum and throat cancer, and drinking too much can damage your kidneys and liver, liver is the organ that filters the garbage in the food that prevents you from getting sick including chemicals and useless fats, they are both shitty results if you ask me

+1 ySmoking in moderation is much worse than drinking in moderation. Both are terrible if overindulged, so comparing in that case is sort of irrelevant... just dont do it.
00 Reply516 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Both are just as bad. But I also don't care longs if both are done in moderation. And yes I've done both and am open to doing them every now and then.
00 Reply403 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. If you smoke or drink A LOT? drinking is worse I think, but I might be wrong. Having a fatty liver from it, you could die young.
00 ReplySmoking because it affects others health. Drinking is really only a problem if it's a lot.

+1 yDrinking. You can get new teeth but a new liver is tougher to find.
00 ReplyProbably smoking, if you go by a hit-per-hit basis.
I want to basically eliminate both from my life though.00 Reply- 304 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.

but drinking brings out the worst in some people so I would say it’s worse for you mentally.00 Reply Smoking is nasty, I would smoke when I drank at patty’s and to be with women but I stopped around 27. I would wake up hungover and smell my hand and want to vomits. Not a good habit for me

+1 yOne destroys your Kidneys, liver, and brain cells and one your throat, lungs, and sinuses. One cause disease and one cancer. If you do both , I guarantee throat cancer.

+1 yI think they’re both terrible, but if I had to choose probably would be smoking… but if you drank a lot in one night. I mean excessive amounts you could die from alcohol poisoning.
00 ReplyBoth as bad... I've never tried any of them.. Not even once..

+1 yHard to say. Smoking does more physical damage, but alcohol does more emotional damage

+1 ySmoking, while you smoke you spoil the health of people around you as well and as it's cheaper you tend to do it a lot more frequently that you would drink.
